I don't know how good and long your relationships were with your exs. But I can't let go of mine. We were so close for just shy of a decade. But then a family tragedy caused her to seep into depression. With covid in the way she couldn't see her family for over a year. She only had me and her workmates. She grew resentful at me I guess and I guess because I was there for her passing of her grandparents I was a reminder of the hard times. But given the situation I truly believe in time she'll stop resenting me and remember the many more good times we had. We were trying to have kids and she falsly convinced herself that I didn't want any. We picked names and everything. This mindset had to be temporary. She knows that I wanted her with our babies. Ethan and Heidi. That was my dream with her. Married with two kids. I don't understand why she came to the conclusion that I don't want kids. Her dream was to be a mum. Mine was to be a dad. But that's mental health for you. So I can't walk away. Fait brought us together and it will reunite us to live out what we dreamed and planned.

A week after I broke up with my girlfriend, we started talking again about possibly reviving it. But I was hesitant. That Friday night she called panicking and threatening suicide. I talked her down for two hours. THE VERY NEXT DAY she texted me that she was interested in another person. She got very cold to me, but would occasionally call me. When she found out I was about to go off with another woman, she hit the roof. I canceled my date and tried to talk to her. Immediately when I did that, she ran off with that other guy. Then I decided to move on out of hurt and betrayal again. She told me that she and him were done and I fell back into the trap. But, the next day she told me that she was still talking to him and they were going to work something out! Every time I moved on, she came toward me and when I came back, she brought that jerk back into the picture. Finally I told her we couldn't work out. She said, "I guess I will be alone." Now, we haven't talked in three days. I contacted her about things and she said, "Don't contact me or I will get a restraining order." WTF??? Am I crazy or is she?

I dated this girl for 5 years, during which time we never got engaged because I didn't want to, but she was in love with me and i think she really was. I went abroad to live and in the meantime she found someone else. All this two years ago. She then decided to stay with him and end things with me. But while she was dating him, however, every now and then he looked for me (probably when things with him was getting worse). After about a year, however, HE ended the relationship with her and she suffered a lot according to what friends said because she had fallen in love with him. In these two years she has always told me that there can no longer be anything between us, yet every two months she shows up again and something happens between us. Or we hang out and kiss, like last Sunday. However, every time I take a step towards her she no longer responds and disappears. I think she's still in love with the guy she found while I was abroad, even if she doesn't want to admit it to anyone. She still sees him for sporting activities. In fact, in the last two years I have tried several times to implement no contact, but every time she showed up again I fell for it, without ever achieving anything. So she has always considered me present in her life, because she knows that as soon as she says something I am available, she has never experienced what it means to "lose me". Do you think I still have any hope? Does the fact that she is now in love with another person eliminate any hope? Could a longer no contact be of any use?

You're acting like her back up plan, don't talk about relationships, but when she contacts you, set up evening dates were you can hang out, have fun, hook up. Anything less you're not interested. In the mean time, date multiple women, at least three.

Any help appreciated or someone to listen :( So me and my ex had split up start of September 2017, her attraction had dropped and I acted needy. We were in a relationship for 5 months but prior we had dated for 2 years in 2010. Old flame. I contacted her a number of times a week because I want her back. Roger Tapia I am to hear that, I hope you are holding up well, in these sort of situations take care of yourself. Take some time out from work, talk about it as Craig tells us. Life is a rollercoaster! My ex seems to still be dating this guy so that’s now been 7 months - just a heads up I have been searching far and wide on videos on why woman do what they do, even though there are many great videos out there I feel it does help with the anxiety built up at that moment - it doesn’t really fixes or offers any solution! The only thing that has helped me is mourning and going through the process of feeling down etc. I have dated many woman since then but I am still not mentally able to connect or like them, it’s hard to explain. It seems your ex is trying to deal with loosing her baby through other means and doesn’t seem too healthy. I am sure you have already done this already but try and be open about her ever wanting to meet up to talk about things, if she needs support over it.

It hurts bud, it hurts really bad. There are no quick fixes and the pain will dim with time, but there are no magic words or tricks that will do it. The only thing that has gotten me through my 18 year marriage ending and my wife moving on to someone new not 3 months later was to start focusing on myself and trying to improve me. She cheated on me with her ex many times (I met her when she just got out of a 5 years relationship), I thought it was over and we could finally live our lives. She kept talking down to me, she made me feel like I was nothing. I had a fight over it when I couldnt get anymore. We took a 10 day break. I offered her a day together (I bought tickets to a show and planned a whole day). Then on that day I get a txt saying she's too hungover to come cause she had a few drinks with a female friend. I said ok, maybe we'll catch a movie later. Later that day I called her, and (i had a gut feeling) and asked her if there was another guy. She said yes. I asked so you sleep at his place last night? She said yes. Its a new guy from her town, she said they had a date a week ago and wants to try to make it work with him. She then blocked me from everywhere. Telling me to move on and that out time together (16 months) was just a waste of time.
