If your looking for more of a Nascar sound make a tighter x-pipe. I've done waaay too much research into it and tested it and it freaking works! You'd have to do almost a 90° pipe to the tightest x-pipe you can make and boom you a IROC style exhaust. Doesn't matter what muffler it'll sounds much higher in the rpm range than it really is. I could go on and give more detailed stuff but this is already pretty long

I find Y pipes the worst. They're supposed to fit....but never fit properly. There is good reason why they often crack at the joint.

Ran a pair of flowmaster mufflers on my 67 Fairlane GTA, 428cj. Hooker pro comp headers, 2.5 pipe to 2.25 tail pipe with their high compression three chambered mufflers. The CJ had a high lift long duration solid lifter cam with harlon sharp roller rockers, 12.5 to 1 TRW domed pistons with heads shaved running 13.25 to 1 based on calculations of reduced combustion chamber, had good lumpy sound at idle and really screamed at full throttle. Flowmaster makes high quality exhaust components.

Personally I would have done a Flowmaster catback. The 2 chamber Flowmasters, longtubes and xpipe are a must for me. Gives it the 5.0 deep clean sound or tone. Thats what makes it fun doing it how you want it. Btw 410 gear is the BEST MOD for a fox in the beginning. Makes it a TOTALLY different car!

I think flowmasters will make a comeback, they were popular from introduction to the mid 00’s. Kids now want Borla or Corsa and those do sound good and flow better but flows sound the best.

I love the work you're doing on that foxbody. I had a '92 LX 5.0 bought new back in the day. It was titanium grey with Centerline slotted wheels that came with it. Never had the money to mod it and got blown away by a '93 ZR1 and lost interest. I want another one, possibly a notchback, that I can mod and make into the baddest 5.0 foxbody on the east coast lol. I couldn't place where I had seen you before and it was really bugging me, but I gotta say it, you remind me SO much of either David Caruso or Rick Astley. You're doing better than me though 'cause I probably remind people of an older, uglier and out of shape Jason Statham lol!!! Have a good one and keep the vids coming!

The sound and looks of the exhaust is much much better repeat, much better. Nice job. Still a little to loud for my taste. But I am now an old guy, not a young guy like you. I would choose to add a couple of resonators to knock down the interior drone a tad and cut the loudness of the exhaust a bit. Make it more pleasant for all the folks who live along the routes you will be traveling. Is the gap between the tail pipe and the plastic bumper big enough to keep the exhaust and pipe heat from scorching and melting the bumper? It looks a little close to me.

A single exhaust would also do it. If you keep the midpipes/downpipes equal length, and if your headers are 2.5" collector, all you have to do is join them into a single 3.5" pipe as soon as possible and it'll sound even more exotic. If you really want two tips and/or have trouble finding 3.5" in/out mufflers, just keep it joined all the way back till the axle, then split it back to dual 2.5"

you need to get a acetylene torch with a rosebud tip you could have jacked it up with the floor jack while heating it up and it would have moved it up without any cutting and welding

I feel ya man about 3 years ago I ordered a timing chain for my 1989 Oldsmobile delta 88 and it took pep boys a month to tell me it got lost.....I still havent disassembled the front end of the Oldsmobile.....and I now have all the needed parts to do the job.....been procastinating that long lol

man that thing sounds good and I love the stance that you've got it sitting at mine is close to that I need to bring it down about a quarter inch in the rear & about a half inch in the front cuz I want it to tuck part of the tire 275 40 17s in the back 255 40 17s up front and I've got the 10th anniversary Cobra wheels on it but man those bullits look killer on that fox I love the way you have it stanced out with the spacers and the way the fenders are flared in the front it really makes it look mean cause it has such a wide track with keep up the great work!!!

Mostly because of my working career managing projects I've always kept "verticals" going with my project cars. Mini-projects that don't rely on each other. Looks like you've figured that out, too. No parts yet for Vert1? Move on to Vert2!! LOL It'll be good practice once you finish the degree and start engamaneering too.

Man finding a non catted x or h pipe now is getting crazy hard with all this epa crap going on. I think that is a upr x pipe and most the time they need mid pipe hangers installed and it will get it up tight. Now you need to polish the rear tips idk why flowmaster don’t do that. Most companies do.

I have to o some exhaust mods on my c10 for the same reason(low hanging pipes on one side), and as I am watching, I am dreading it even more. Can you imagine how fun and easy building exhausts would be if you had a lift? I hate crawling around underneath so bad! Also, who owns the 200x? nice!

Dude, you have the same headers I do however my engine is not assembled yet, doing a swap on my 02 v6 new edge. I do have a request/sick upgrade for you. Can you swap the x-pipe for a custom y pipe that splits back in two? Like join them equally lengthed around the tail shaft of the transmission, and then split it back apart right before the two mufflers. The longer single pipe it has, the better torque you’ll make. I just want to hear a godly exhaust at it’s absolute peak 🤩, you’ll have the ultimate sounding mustang for sure

Looks good, sounds mean on camera and you did a great job repurposing those mufflers, but that's way too loud for 200hp. Perhaps I've been working on 2L turbos for too long, but I've always felt the best setup sounds decent at WOT, doesn't annoy you on the highway, won't piss the neighbors off at 10pm and won't alert the cops when you're cutting donuts in a carpark. That setup kinda fails those requirements. You could really do with a mid-muffler or two.

I am running spintech 9000's on my built 440. Sounds wicked. It's the loudest muffler that spintech offers however. If you want quiet but rumble when you smash the pedal I'd say go for the spintech 3000's. Great mufflers all hand made and welded. Good quality.
