From personal experience, I can explain why white families are adopting black children. When my husband and I tried to adopt there was a 3 to 5 year wait for a white baby and it was gonna cost us about $35k-$40k.. or you could adopt immediately a black baby. Not only that, but there are so many black children that are stuck in the foster system that we were told we could adopt multiple black children at once and they would even pay for the adoption fees. Honestly, it’s a very unfortunate situation, but I think that ANY family of ANY race who is willing to open their home to a foster or an orphan is a blessing, so let’s not try to find more ways to rob children of having loving families!

Wtf?! Is she SERIOUS?! People who adopt children of another race aren’t paying a damn bit of attention to the color of their skin. They just want a child!! My sis went to Africa and adopted 2 orphans. One of them, her daughter, was from Ethiopia. She was found abandoned in a basket on the road. They had no idea what her age even was. She had lice, was full of Giardia (intestinal parasite) & she was emaciated. Unbelievably, the orphanage gave her an African name since she didn’t have one. I can’t remember the name… But it translated as “unwanted” in Africa. Obviously, my sister and her husband changed her name immediately. Two years later, after her daughter was remedied and emotionally stable, she went back to Africa and adopted a little boy. He was from Cambodia. They don’t know his story either. He wasn’t found on the side of the road, he was just dropped off at the orphanage and no one ever came back for him. They were both around the age of 3 when orphaned. Or close to it. It was literally a rags to riches story. My sis didn’t just wake up one day and decide she wanted to black children! She wanted children. She attempted to adopt in the states, but in both situations after forming a relationship with the young pregnant mother, paying her hospital bills and all of the prenatal care. The teen mothers decided to keep their infants immediately after giving birth. She tried to adopt another child and after her house was inspected… They told her her basement windows were too high up and too small to escape if there was a fire. She was told she had to fix it before she was allowed to adopt. It was absurd. They just wanted to help an unfortunate child! The color of their skin was not even something they considered. Finally somebody suggested Africa. The rest is history.

@HeartFallenstar4 ай бұрын
Yeh, I understand what you’re saying, but aren’t black kids not meant to have their own culture/ knowledge on where they came from, I just think that black children who are adopted by white parents should be able to have access to someone that they can relate to. And that should be the white parents responsibility. Love is great yes, but how would a white woman be able to give all the black culture that those babies deserve to have, to me not seeing race is just as damaging in my opinion. Everyone deserves to have love, but that white parent should make the effort to make it a priority that they know their race/ethnicity and show them how to be proud not hide it!!

Sorry but why is this so important? Just a baby with more melanin and some ex parents that didn't even gave a sht about it. Why would someone force a culture on a neglected baby just because of blood. It's culture will be the one in which it develops and make it's own identity, being that afro, european, asían, or whatever. If the kid grows and start to question genetic stuff, skin color and culture, of course parents can help with education still.

After just recently healing from a hysterectomy I had to have (I had uterine cancer), I worried about this narrative being spun where I wouldn't be able to adopt certain children because people would say I don't deserve them and that I'd have nothing to offer them. It feels nice seeing the comments say otherwise.

Yesssss!!😂 The real question is why are there so many black kids that need adopting?! Damn...sad but it is the truth!😢 And the other part to that question is why are there not enough black families adopting these black children?! I'll wait...🙄
@AMVYV5 ай бұрын
It was a controversial take for me. I am sure many of these black adoptees were born to someone who was not financially or emotionally apt to raise children. Rampant Sexuality is promoted by hip hop culture because the reward is higher for becoming bad role models for the community. Think about the scandal of children wanting to hear sexy red. That’s what they like because that is what is advertised to our community. It’s all about rewarding bad behavior to increase it. So that probably explains why a higher rate of black lower income, unprepared and underaged mothers give their children up for adoption. As to why black families aren’t adopting? Probably because we are uplifting our own families still.
@themudpit6215 ай бұрын
@@AMVYV I wouldn't be so sure that 'black' families aren't adopting. The point is, the parents who are adopting see though this 'race' thing, and they'll raise there kids to see through it too. The sooner we all move past this outdated made up concept, the better. However, as long as someone somewhere is benefitting from the concept of 'racial' division and difference, they'll keep promoting it.
@AMVYV5 ай бұрын
@@themudpit621 I totally agree with you on that and I share that perspective. I believe that everyone has the ability to thrive together. Living without the concept of race. But humans are tribal animals and have been. If it’s not race it’s nationality, if not, nationality then it’s religion. Maybe evolution will be breaking out of that pattern. But more likely it will be living with, respecting and hopefully loving each others differences. I’m sure black families adopt as well and it’s just not as prevalent or gets less coverage. I have not checked the current stats. I also would like to point attention to the feeling of lack in black communities. We don’t typically have generational wealth. We started off late in the race. From slavery to segregation, to not being taught how to read, rewarded for negative patterns etc. I just think what many people in the black community are feeling sometimes is what we perceive to be a harder and more treacherous climb to success. But understanding that poverty and struggle isn’t limited to one race or culture just because it seems more evident. All of us have the option to succeed or to quit. 🙏🏽

Well I never reply on anything on KZbin but Blair response on that subject bothered me. But since I'm french I was curious and a 3 min Google search revealed that in 2019, 46% of children in foster were white, 23% black, 22% hispanic soooo it seems that specific answer is inadequate. And out of the ones that got adopted 50% were white, 21% hispanic and only 18% black. All of those kids deserve a family that can provide love, security, safety, education and all the other things a kid needs without regard for their ethnicity or the one of said family.

6:14 as a punk, we do not claim him. Punk means thinking for yourself. Punk means going against the system. Punk means being against all political parties and ideologies. Our subculture is based on rebellion and anarchy. I do not see what the hell is rebellious about repeating the same thing that the whole woke community is saying. That is not punk.

Anarchy IS an ideology that wants "order without hierarchy or reign". Also he's not missing "nonconformity"(I think that's want u meant when u falsely said they're against EVERYTHING, which is logically not possible). Since conservativ gender rolls are still the mainstream/norm. Also "thinking for your self" doesn't mean ur own thoughts can't agree with a bigger group. Punk is not about being anti-establishment if the establishment is progressive. It isn’t about being contradictory to all that is popular. Instead of complaining about what race adopts kids of what race, people should be glad that kids are being adopted and not in the system (as long as they’re adopted by good families of course).

I was at the shops the other day waiting outside a cafe for my order. When this, maybe 7 years old, child and his mother were walking past. He was wearing a cat costume, and he was asking his mum what a plane was. She just kept repeating,'i dont know'. Like lady, get off your phone and show or tell this kid what a bloody plane is. These parents of these people are just too lazy to even explain simple shht. The next generation at this point is gonna be even bigger airheads.
@SDS-ee9js5 ай бұрын
I’m sorry I’m honestly not trying to be mean but what 7 year old doesn’t know what a plane is? The fact that a child that age is even asking that when most 5 year olds know what that is, shows that the parents are neglectful and probably just shove an iPad in front of the kids face all the time instead of teaching and spending time with their kids.
@lilgib49575 ай бұрын
@SDS-ee9js exactly though! What kid doesn't know what a plane is. It's not like you're having to explain how they make them and what math they used to solve how to fly. It's simple. Like she's already on her phone while walking. Look it up and show him. Takes 5 seconds outta your 'busy' day. It's sad to see. I really hope he goes to school and he isn't home schooled because she's going to ruin his brain. Kids are sponges. They absorb information. Telling them these things will stick in their brain for years. The poor kid will most likely get bullied soon enough, and it'll be her fault

There are hundreds of thousands of children around the world who, for whatever reason, have no parents. Don’t those children deserve to be adopted? By anyone who will love them and care for them? Who don’t think that those children should be stuck in foster care or orphanages until hopefully someone who looks like them decide to adopt them. Who are willing to open their homes, their hearts, their families to a child in need. More white people are willing to adopt or foster children with a different skin tone, than there are black people who are willing to adopt or foster white, Asian, Hispanic, etc…children. Be happy for those children that they were chosen to become part of a family. Being upset that these kids have a family, even if they don’t look alike, says more about that woman than about anyone else.
