Honestly, each girl is born with her kind of hair so it is up to you on finding what works and doesn't for YOUR HAIR. Collaboration of ideas is the key to creating your OWN formula for what works best. For "gurus", they simply were blessed with great features to start with and then, with educating themselves through trial and error, they found what works best for THEM.

the shampoos from sheamoisture are all sulfate free so its not bad for your hair
@brysonknoel8 жыл бұрын
+mel ks i know (they're all organic too), but I have tighter curls so my hair tends to get dryer more easily and even sulfate free shampoo tends to strip my hair too much for my liking. I've been using a little dab of the shea moisture African mint detox shampoo on my edges when i get build-up, but other than that I'm shampoo free.

I hear what you're saying about oil. In China and Japan we use Camelia oil. Spray it on my long hair, tie it up, go to the gym and rinse off in the shower. The heat you generate helps the oil sink in and no one looks good in a spin class anyway! A workout for you and your hair :)

Your hair gets oily because you constantly strip it of its vital natural oils, leave your hair for 2 days to begin with and then slowly move to 3 AT LEAST. Its so unhealthy and bad for your hair to wash it everyday, it needs those oils :D As you slow down on the shampooing your scalp will stop producing so much oil.

Naz since you use the ogx oil spray, you should really try there shampoo and conditioners. There sulfate free and they have a Argan oil one it's a blue bottle I love it ❤

I thought this brand was too good to be true and I was right, even though they claim on the front of the bottle that they are "sulfate free" if you read the ingredients on the back of the products, you'll find sulfates in there shampoos and conditioners! You'll want to stay away from sulfates, sodiums, parabens and silicons! Just passing the word along to a sistaaa 🎀

Tsion Rodriguez I am soooo jealous of you!!! I have to wash my hair everyday coz my scalp gets really oily. If I can smell my scalp I will freak out and get self-conscious and uncomfortable.

I have a question: I want to stop washing my hair so often (1 time every 2 days) but I don't know how to do it without looking disgusting. My hair is super dry and it doesn't look greasy but I feel gross if I don't wash it. I think it's so dry because I wash it a lot, so I want to stop it. You say that your hair doesn't look as greasy because it's used to not be washed, so, if I do the same, mine is gonna look terrible. Any tips?
@camrynlino50488 жыл бұрын
use dry shampoo to make it less oily! 1 time every 2 days is still pretty frequent but it all depends on your hair type. also, don't worry about feeling gross or anything because it's really not and its completely natural. good luck!

Dry shampoo helps... Also don't touch your hair too much - it makes it oily. Hope that helps!

honestly, set aside a couple days where you don't have a ton planned. and let your hair get used to not being washed. if you have to go somewhere, use dry shampoo and you can even put it up in a bun or ponytail to hide the greasiness. I promise it'll be worth it once your hair gets used to it
