I am so proud of you! It shows how much you have recovered and healed. You are a miracle, giving hope. I'm not a hoarder, but I do struggle with binge eating and everytime I am consumed by guilt for failing, your videos put me in a better mind space. We can try and try again and with small steps, one day, we will be okay. :-) ♡

I have decluttered everything I can bare to part with and I still have too much stuff in my tiny flat. I think I have to go through everything again and try again. It's just so overwhelming and it's the though I might need it that catches me up every time.

It’s interesting you refer to yourself as an ADHD hoarder. I kind of associate to Procrastination Hoarder. This to me means I constantly have piles from continued sorting that takes me a very long time to address, and thus, I always have a hoard that is in process of flowing out but never have the ideal space because another project or pile enters the space. Stuff can sit against a wall until I have the motivation to actually take it to donate.

The transformation is amazing. But what is more amazing is that you showed the returning messes as well as the successes along the way. Showing what a truly constant process decluttering is and returning messes are not failure but part of that process.

Yep it’s amazing how much we learn from our hoarding. Learning that’s it ok to let go and we can survive without the clutter. It is a slow job because we have to rewire our brains.

My parents are hoarders and I used to be a hoarder too until I realize it makes me sick and unhappy. I'm not really a minimalist but I just have stuffs that I really need and it makes the cleaning process easier. But my parents are still hoarders and I give up to tell them to declutter :( Maybe I have to show them your video though they don't understand English.

Great job. In less than 10 Years I lost both my grandmas and my mom and dad. All before I turned 30. I always associated their things with them. I had such a hard time letting go. Took me 20 years but I have gotten rid of most of their items except for the very special ones. I had to realize that their things were not my style and they just brought chaos to my mind. My oldest daughter ( age 27 and married) is a minimalist. My youngest daughter ( age 22 and still lives with us) wants everything she has right around her for comfort. It runs in the family. My maternal grandmother was a hoarder but my mom went the other way and was a minimalist. ( I think she got tired of cleaning up after my grandma). Im kinda in between now!

You motivate me to declutter and clean my home every week. My grandma was a hoarder and my husbands mother too. So a part of the gene is in ouer Family too. Two years ago i was very depressed and overwhelmed by the housework. I did not realized that the clutter was the problem. Now i am decluttering almost every Friday. How long takes one decluttering session you do? Greatings from Germany

Wow, it is a big transformation. What is left is still so much though in terms of minimalism. Most of my spaces that I can't stand anymore and I want to declutter look like your current home! But where mine is at now is a lot less than photos I have of a few years ago. It's interesting how different perspectives mean different things to different people. My current home now makes me dizzy and so does seeing all that is still left in yours, but at one time how mine is now was a big improvement. I would never have thought it was minimalist though and I'm definitely aiming to get all the way there now.

What a wonderful gift you've given to your children. An ordered home brings comfort to us humans... whether we realize it, or not. My Dad was a hoarder... but my Mom wasn't. When Mom was alive, there was more organization, amidst the chaos. After she died (at age 47), my Dad eventually moved a girlfriend into our home. She stayed 9 years... but then left him, for a variety of reasons. When she lived there, the home had a measure of order, amidst his disorder (hoarding)... but after she left, his home became FULL of stuff (inside, and outside, too). Me & my sisters inherited the majority of my Dad's tendencies... although we have a LITTLE bit of our Mom's organized patterns, too. We're now in our 50s, and working towards minimalist/organized lifestyles. Each of us approaches it, differently. Only our brother inherited our Mom's organized mindset. He has never been messy, at all. His home is lovely... which is a gift to his daughter (I feel). His wife struggles with hoarding (as her Mom does, too).... but overall, their home is described (by everyone who visits them), as "peaceful". THIS is what I feel you have given to your children; something they can truly appreciate.

I’m disabled and I haven’t stayed on top of things. My bedroom is the hoarding room. But the whole house just needs a going thru and getting rid of things we don’t use anymore. We have a small house too. We were 7 people in a small house we had outgrown when we moved in. We are down to 5 as 2 have flown the coop. We try and we keep it clean but I can’t find the energy to go thru the stuff. I wish I had someone that could come help me and keep me motivated. I also have adhd and when I look at it I just walk away because it seems like it’s impossible for one person. I’m not a full blown hoarder but it’s started. I used to be a supermom and did everything by myself. After I got lupus I got sicker and sicker and that’s why it got so behind. Now I’ve got a mess. I’m so happy for you! You did a great job!

I really appreciate your vulnerability and talking about how you *are changing* and not just how you've *changed,* since we're all in process. I also think it's important to show how long this process is taking you, even with so much dedication to it. Changing behaviors and emotional processes is so hard, and it's sad when people expect such drastic change of others overnight.

Wow, just wow!! 🎉 I think I started following you after you had revealed your appearance, but I insisted on starting with your earlier videos to track with you through much of the journey and hear you process things along the way.... I haven't been able to keep up consistently but have checked in from time to time and watching here I am positively blown away to see the full contrast from then to now! The bathroom attached to the laundry room especially gave me an actual physical reaction of relief and amazement and excitement since I had missed that update...incredible! ❤ I am so thrilled for you, for all of the healing you have sought and found, even and especially with how scary it was. You recognized the need for change, for yourself and for your loving family, and you were determined to make it happen, whatever it took. I can even hear the difference in your voiceover how much burden has been lifted from your beautiful heart ❤ Couldn't be any more proud of you, dear. You have shown bravery and leadership, and have brought empowerment to all of us -- thank you! 🥰🦄

You don’t talk a huge amount about your husbands feelings about your hoarding. He must be an amazing man to let you heal in your own way and time. My ex would always make me feel bad about stuff/ the house. I was never a hoarder but once we had our first child obviously we got more things in. He couldn’t never understand that they needed / wanted toys etc and I wanted them to have lots of clothes, toys etc. Now after him being gone for 4 years I’ve decluttered so much and I’m working on my spending habits but I’m doing it for me now and not because of him . Your amazing and I love everyone of your videos. You should be so proud of yourself as I know we all are of you 💪🥰🥰 xxx

I am also decluttering our bedroom and every time I take boxes to Goodwill I am also proud of myself. I use to keep everything I was given as gifts regardless of the fact that it was not my taste. But after you have explained that it is ok to pass the items along to someone that might actually like and use it. I can honestly say I no longer feel that heavy guilt factor. Im shocked by this video! Not in a judgy way, but in a very relatable way! I grew up in a hoarders house, both my parents are extreme hoarders and I've learned from them to never throw stuff away and i never learned to clean/declutter/tidy. It took me a long time and a lot of tiny baby steps to change my ways but i finally can say i can keep my house clean and tidy! I'm extremely impressed by how for you've come and how awesome you did and how good you decluttered!!! I know how extremely hard and difficult it is to change your mindset and lifestyle and to declutter your house like that! You are awesome!! Keep up the good work!!

I love this video. I commented the other day on instagram (user name is different) about showing a photo taken from the basement steps and I'm so glad I can see the progress in this video. I couldnt quite work out where you were in recent videos when you said you were on the back wall and I now realise it's because you have cleared so much that what you were showing in the video is the huge empty space in the middle. I am so pleased to see this huge transformation. I remember the play room you couldnt even step in the room much due to the volume of items same with basement. I know it wasnt easy in the beginning but you are so much faster at making decisions, especially with letting go of things. And you have also made some money at the yard sales & helped many people with your donations. I'm so proud of you & love that you & your family are benefiting from more useable space. ❤
