I bought the cvo rg st and I love it. That’s not to say I haven’t had some issues. I’ve gone into limp mode 3 times and had to pull the fuse. Not hard but sucks none the less. My battery crapped the bed on me 4 months into ownership. And have had many glitches in the infotainment. Just did 5k service and they updated a lot. Seems much better now. My Bluetooth hasn’t been bad at all. I use a splitter and hard wire my phone and the mic. Now every once in a great while it happens but not often. Now could it be faster definitely.

Good review. I have experienced very few issues with the Skykine system. I do wish Harley would improve the function of the Navigation System. It is basically useless for planning multi day trips. They took away much of the functionality of the previous generation radios. You can no longer zoom in or out with the thumb stick controls. You can not see or preview you route in the bike. You can not see or skip waypoints on the fly. All things I used on the other systems. Basically, I feel i wasted $$ purchasing the HD navigation because it is useless for planning multi day trips, which i then only reason I purchased on the new bike.

And if you did change the exhaust, what brand are they? I have a 24 Street Glide and would like a little more sound from the exhaust but not too loud. Thank You 😎

My feelings for the 2024 year. 1 - I definitely would not purchase one bc I don't want to be a guinea pig for HD. 2 - I think the updated design is awesome as far as the aesthetics and the new electronics/navigation screen. My gripe? I can't believe they still can't deliver a suspension that needs to be upgraded? I mean WTF?! Especially on a CVO! For the price tag, you shouldn't need to upgrade anything on that bike, let alone something as fundamental as the shocks! And you're not the only one complaining, Q. I know a lot of guys that bought the new 24 model and they didn't like the suspension. So Ohlin and Legend got more business. I still scratch my head that this is still a thing with HD.
@RidingandWrenching3 ай бұрын
I'm really surprised they put this suspension on the bike. it's really not that great. Honestly, I think the stock suspension on my 18 Road Glide was better. Eventually I will replace the shocks.

A lot of the complaints you have about the stereo system are also common with my Sony AX XAV 7000 on my old EGlide. Alot of similarities on my 24 Roadglide. The one that bugs me the most is android connection. I will have my ipod plugged in for music and phone bluetoothed (SE tuner and app) but if imget a text, it stops the music and pushes over to bluetooth(phone).

To each his own, I still think the Road Glide is one of the fugliest bikes on the road. It looks like something from the movie "Mars Attacks" or something Marvin Martian from the old Warner Brothers cartoons should ride. If I were going HD, I'd get a Street glide or Ultra Classic. About three years ago, I had first considered an HD addition to the fleet. I told the salesman at Patriot HD where I live, "Don't waste your time or mine showing me a Road Glide" LOL

Harley needs to give these bikes a modern frame. They're still using a frame from 2009. You wouldn't need to change your rear shocks if they would use a rear mono shock like Indian does. It provides a superior smooth ride compared to a Harley.
@RidingandWrenching3 ай бұрын
@@DK-455 I do not understand how 1 shock is better than 2. Other issue is that Indians have a wide turning radius that (I think) is due to the stretched wheel base that accommodates the monoshock
@DK-4553 ай бұрын
Well for one thing I believe the mono shock has 5" of travel vs 3" for the Harley shocks. I'm not a fan of Indians but when I've ridden them on bad roads there's no comparison to a Harley. It's a night and day difference how smooth the Indian rides. It may also have to do with the front fork geometry vs Harley.
