Tyler is so awesome. He's always giving stuff away, promoting the arts, and encouraging people to learn. I haven't played guitar in years despite loving it. I had to sell all my guitars when I got really sick a few years ago to pay medical bills. I'm disabled now and on a fixed income. So winning a free one is probably the only way I'm ever going to own a nice guitar. I didn't mean to make that a sob story. I'm just saying I appreciate what he does trying to get instruments into as many hands as possible.

I waited a year for my Serus J. Just got it 2 weeks ago. $4450, and worth every penny. 3 Lollar Gold Foil pickups and some crazy switching. Flame maple neck, chunky .880. Weighs in at 7lbs, 3oz. Just a magnificent guitar!!!

I looove hard guitar mod talk. Suggestion; Fat Strat with JB hum. 58-era Neck (bell-like) 61-era middle (texas-like). Set height for best individual, not balanced. Neck & mid off same volume. Have a switch (pop-up or toggle) to Memphis-style the neck to the bridge. Replace Tone with a no-load tap to split the humbucker. You can emulate acoustic & tele tones more naturally than an EQ on top of switching between very distinct EQ tones. Double neck for diff tuning, this setup for even more guitar without switching guitars. Thanks for the shop tour.

I’ve always loved the Serus J and pined after Rhett’s! Also a huge fan of Fralin pickups… I have a set of vintage hots in my ‘13 MIM strat and they just work for everything I need with single coils.

I saw Keith Urban perform in Little Rock, AR, when I was about 16. He had a catwalk to a smaller stage where he did an acoustic set, and I was front row to that stage. I ended up leaving with Keith's guitar pick and Brian Nutter's guitar pick. That was one of my first concerts, and it was awesome. It's really cool to see these guitars.
