Hello ladies, How are you feeling today? I wanted to share the names of the flowers on my porch. On multiple occasions I said the wrong name. One is called "blue plumbago" (I think I said plumeria), the soft purple is "Podranea ricasoliana" and the other is "stock". So glad to see you resting amongst your lovely things. The minute you said your mom was ready you showed your van filled with garden plants and it made me smile. It helped me feel hopeful knowing that Spring is right around the corner and I too will be hauling beautiful plants to my potting shed once again. I planted 7 arborvitaes this fall (an evergreen). They grow 15 feet tall and about 3 feet wide; grouped together they form a spectacular privacy screen. When I see an area in my yard unfinished I start to dream & wish of what I want to do there. I may not get to it right away but at least I can dream it into a reality by taking a leap of faith. Over time, I find these simple steps useful in helping turn dreams into a productive strategy that will ultimately allow me to achieve success. Baby steps help even with the biggest challenges. 🍅🥦🌿🍁🌳🥭🌲🌷🥕🌹

Bonjour Nikki, your voice is lovely in every video so please don't feel self-conscious about it. Thank goodness, we are not robots :) Mine changes a little according to the language I'm speaking! Your porch is beautiful and romantic, I love that the colour of the armchair cushions matches your door, and the light green furniture is so pretty. All the flowers are gorgeous! I love your blue and white flower pots! Also I find that the distressed white paint on the wooden floor gives genuine shabby chic character to your deck, so there's no reason to worry about it while waiting for the new deck :) Finally please don't worry if you are not always happy with what you have filmed, some days are definitely not how we want them to be but this is life... Life is not instagram or youtube perfect and neither are your viewers. I believe everything you film would be appreciated by your viewers and might even comfort those who feel overwhelmed and disappointed by their own lives on some days. Nikki, your home is so pretty, even in the befores! It's so inspiring! To me, your home has a lot of feminine energy, but doesn't discourage or repudiate the masculine part of your family. I have no idea if that makes sense!! You have certainly have had a positive influence on me. Because you are so quietly confident in expressing your femininity and strength, I have started to accept that I can be feminine. It's not weakness, it's a different strength. I've never been girly, and I've always been tall and strong, and quite masculine in my nature.I have quite a deep voice, and used to be regularly mistaken on the phone!! However, today I turned 54, and I think it's absolutely ok to acknowledge and honour my feminine side. And on that note, I'm going to buy myself a birthday cake! Lots of love xxx

When I am run down, my voice does change to a deeper, raspy voice. Balance and rest is always needed. When I don’t feel motivated, I give myself the grace to recharge. Once again, you have motivated me to just get doing! I enjoy the before and after. The deck is lovely and inviting.

I have to say I've never noticed your voice change. My voice changes, lowers if my thyroid medicine is too low. I'm that way too, when dragging, I go what I love and my mood and energy level changes. Those flowers and plants sure prettied up that porch deck. And your family seem to really enjoy it as well. Stock is my fave smelling flower.

It can happen both ways. Around ovulation a voice can raise and be a bit higher and around menstruation it can be deeper and it is completely linked to hormones!

Your soil needs to be less sandy I think for roses. I have a big rose garden as I live very close to David Austin roses (lucky me). Have you mulched your beds with good compost , and fed the roses? The soil is the most important though (with water obviously) happy roses 🌹

My ob/gyn explained the voice change is connected to monthly hormonal fluctuations (I casually asked not expecting an actual answer). Such as ovulation= high, overly feminine voice.

OH WOW! I noticed that voice change but I just thought your voice was "maturing" if that's a thing. That's just what came to my mind and I wondered when (age) my voice might have matured. It didn't sound bad to me, just different. My daughter's voice deepened for a little while when she was suffering with acid reflux.

It was never finished the way I had hoped which is what I shared in the 3rd portion. I originally wanted to share the organization but the girls just wanted to keep their space private so I’m honoring that. I don’t watch any tv. I watch YT videos if I want to watch something and on occasion I’ll watch movies. It’s hard for me to stay awake through one these days though.

Thank you, It's called Crystal Cut by BEHR, I found it at Home Depot. It has the slightest tint of pink to it but definitely takes the edge off. The majority of the other walls are Peach Rose.

Google it Nikki. You are right. It’s normal for your voice to change when you’re menstruating and if it doesn’t change, it’s likely due to meds you maybe on. So if your voice changes that time of the month you are normal and if it doesn’t, you’re not.
