I appreciate that you just reach out to people and discuss things that interest you. I doubt this will get seen but something you might be interested in is discussing stem cell transplants with a doctor. This has been a regular cancer treatment forever BUT it's also been used (somewhat controversial here not necessarily in other countries) to treat severe auto immune disorders. Sickle cell, HIV, MS etc. The only reason I know or care about it is that I did the procedure for my MS and I'm essentially "better" and I was in rough shape I couldn't walk great or speak well. Anyway I realize I'm just some nut on KZbin and I in no way understood the technicalities of the process but thought could be of interest. Frankly I don't understand why it isn't a bigger deal.

Pretty sure she was referring to her parents’ opportunities. Which is common for first generation immigrants

it never ceases to amaze me how we feel like correcting immigrants about their experiences and feelings as immigrants...

Its that people act like anyone can become rich and have the dream by living in america, there are more immigrants and people born here that do all the right things and end up poor or homeless or struggling than people who succeeded. There just isnt room for everyone to achieve the american dream. Tosh said it on one his specials, they call it a dream for a reason its only going to happen to a small amount of people.
