I love that you emphasized the need to shampoo. A lot of people are scared of shampoo but if you have low porosity hair its essential because our hair is prone to build up Also this may be helpful for other people but ive found with my lopo i like to use the loc method in a bottle (water, glycerine, oil, cream) to moisturize my hair. Makes sure the product is water soluble and allows it to actually penetrate my strands. A lot of people layer on products but it wont mean anything if they are just sitting on your hair. Our hair needs water based products Also when i diffuse, i like to only diffuse with the cool shot air

I believe technique is also important, I can’t apply products to soaking wet hair or else it will literally sit on top of my hair. What I found outs helps with my hair taking it products better is applying everything in the shower after rinsing out the deep conditioners. I squeeze all of the water out and then apply the products and the steam helps the products penetrate my hair.

tina banks I actually dont use an oil that technically is good for lopo hair. I believe lopo hair likes light oils but i just put like a tablespoon of jbco in a 8-10oz spray bottle as to not weigh the hair down. Also for cream i believe that depends on your personal hair but make sure its fully dissolved in the bottle before you use it. I was able to use the thick shea moisture stretch pudding. Ive also used the as i am long and lux curl smoothie

omgitzxKaSsii3x5 I get amazing results depending on what combinations I use. As long I start on damp hair instead of soaking wet hair. However once the steam from the shower helps penetrate the products into my hair I can re wet my hair and work the products in even further.

Washing your hair in the sink is definitely slot easier than in the shower. I wish I could sink wash my hair but I can’t because it makes me dizzy and sick 😫. I love the way your hair came out . Try L’Oréal’s Evercurl, I’m pretty picky with shampoos, this one is sulfate free (if that’s your thing) but has silicones, smells like coconuts (but not a strong smell) and suds up a ton, plus it’s cheap.

HEYYYY COUSIN!!!! I have soooo many comments to make on this video!! First off, there is something to washing your hair in the sink and washing it twice. My momma always did that for me as a child, and my hair was long enough to sit on, okay??? SQUEAKY CLEAN. And my "kitchen" be disrespectful too, LOL!!! I love your new cut, and I absolutely LOVE the way your hair looks when you do the praying hands method versus shingling. I just feel like praying hands looks more like what your hair was already gonna do versus shingling, which can look manufactured. I have a cut very similar to yours and we have the same hair characteristics to the TEE. I also air dry and don't fluff, but I loosely band overnight once completely dry. It helps you get your length back and really shows off the layers as the week goes on. With your hair being as hydrated and healthy as it is, you won't stretch your curls out too much by leaving it banded that long, TRUST. I love your videos and I don't comment often, but I am subscribed and like as many as I can. You're very inspirational, and I hope you never stop what you're doing. Much love Amber!!! 😊😊😊

I just want to say THANK YOU! After almost two years, I was finally able to get a decent wash and go, and even though i may have over-manipulated and killed the curls plus went to the beach on day 2 (did not swim), my hair is still the most moisturized, soft, and pretty it has ever been and it's day 5!

Soaking wet hair definitely is a double-edged sword when dealing with lopo hair. It can make your hair so much easier to style, but then it’s going to take FOREVER to dry and it may even be frizzier because your strands stayed open longer.

I wash my hair while leaning over in the tub using my detachable shower but it kinda messes up my hair. I prefer shower washes. I just turn the water off while I'm scrubbing to save water.

I use to get my hair washed in the sink as a child but I find in the shower is much faster and I get less tangles because it flows downward. I can wash my hair, add deep condition, and shower in 30 to 35 minutes. You do waste more water in the shower if you don't remember to turn the shower off while applying products. I also occasional itch too when in the shower because it's products on my body. That's why I shower immediately after. But whatever works better, do it🤷🏽‍♀️
