I have a new carry pistol that is used by law enforcement in many other countries. I think you'll be surprised if you don't already own one. Pick up a Tisas Zigana px-9 9mm. Break it in and maybe do a budget gun type video if possible. You might like the gen 3 as much as your Springfield. The gen 2 is really well made also. What a great gun time we live in (other than politics I mean…but in terms of options). Almost all the arguments between most pistols nowadays are pure preference and personal ergonomics. In my experience it's a bad idea to add weight to your ankles. It's not an efficient load bearing part of your body and will eventually cause you significant discomfort, loss of fitness, and possibly injury. You want to keep your gear in the same place where you'd put a saddle on a horse, along your trunk. Above the hips (higher than what modern pants allow) and under your arms supported by the spine near the shoulders are where you should carry weapons and gear, if you want to do so long-term without handicapping yourself.

I'm new to your videos but I've watched a few. I haven't seen anything I would really disagree with in your overviews. For that ... Good on ya! Guns and holsters are such a personal matter of choices that there simply isn't a right or wrong in it. Just carry it, whatever it is. Train with it/them and carry it. Keep it in primo working order and carry it. Understand it's capabilities and limitations and .. yep you guessed it .. carry it. Hey ... did I mention: Carry IT! I learned years ago that concealed carry could be oriented to "fast" or "comfortable" or something in between. Subsequently I arrived at: My own personal comfort happens in my mind more than what my carry method is and what I'm carrying so I follow that direction. I train regularly with the guns and the carry methods I utilize. I have a couple primary carry guns, the main is a Glock G29.. She's kinda fat and weighs a bit more than lightweights but .. I trust her. I have a Glock G21 that is usually .40 but some days .357 sig. depending on my mood or what videos I've been watching lately. If I want to go a little lighter I carry a Hellcat with a 15 rnd mag. I have a Ruger LCP that fits in a very handsome looking patent leather case, it goes to weddings, funerals and the like with me. So very unobtrusive. For bedtime I sleep pretty sound with a Glock G30s on the bed frame and my two dog alarm system. All my Glocks are slightly modified to suit me. Carry what suits you, what you train with, what you know, what you like. If it isn't just right but mostly, modify it so it is "Just Right". Just don't go out without it, it's become a dangerous world out there. That's my two cents.

We have 5 deputies and the Sherrif. That is it! It is a BIG county in size. We don't have money to pay folks but volunteers are always welcome. Some come and go as they can fit it in their schedules/lives. I did 28yrs in the Army, infantry, but I am getting to be an old fart, 60yrs old, three back surgeries and a shoulder rebuilt and bad feet and arthritis, so I have all I can handle at my place. Tell your friends. Take care friend.

@@sisleymichael That's a horrible situation! I wish I lived closer. I'm in Idaho. My husband is a former marine scout sniper. He has friends in Texas. I'll have to let him know about the situation. It's so sad that our government is just letting this happen. 💔

P365 FTW!! Also appreciate someone who isn’t a Glock fan boy and can recognize that there are other decent firearms on the market

I'm a Glock fan. Not a fanboy, I just shoot Glocks better. I am looking for something smaller than my 19mos. now. Open to all ideas but have narrowed it down to Glock 43x, Sig 365 and Hellcat. I am still willing to consider other options and with some range time I could wind up with something not on my list. Glad the 365 works for you, might work the best for me too! I am not a novice, but I am far from an expert and realize there are other decent firearms on the market.

You should really pick one and standardize. I understand the gun fetish, I really do. But my rotation has been a 9mm Glock 19 and a Glock 26 consistently for over 10 years. Those two work together as a system and they are proven and extensions of my body at this point. There has been no situation, from bathing suit to tuxedo where the G26 cannot be concealed.

G26 is obsolete nowadays. Some many better options and many smaller than the 19

@Ghost he's not saying buy a Glock, he's saying pick a platform and train with it and stick with it. And that is pretty solid advice. However, I would argue that so long as you are keeping the type of firing system (DAO, DA/SA, SAO, and striker-fired), it really doesn't matter as much. Like, a FN 509C and FN 503 are similar, but not the same (the parts aren't interchangeable and some controls have been changed), but you should be able to fire and manipulate them both just fine as triggers are similar enough. I'd also say it would be okay to carry a Beretta 92G (a smaller framed / shorter slide model) and have a snub-nose revolver for deep carry, as DAO and DA/SA are going to have a similar enough first pull.

I mean Glocks are complete shit. But besides that, yeah.

@Ghost you totally missed my point about picking a system and standardization. Glock was an example
@magaman30482 жыл бұрын
@@wheelguns4wheelmen802 thank you for understanding and clarifying my point. Glock is just my preferred example, but the standardized systems approach is exactly what I was trying to convey

I only just use the one, but if I ever want to feel bougie I may consider having a rotation.

I absolutely love my Sig P365. I can shoot it better than any of my other pistols. I recently used it to dispatch / Finish off a Fallow Buck my Daughter Shot. It was basically dead on its feet, but I didn’t wanna take a chance at it running off. I head shot it at close to 25 yards. It was leaning up against some thick Texas Brush and my daughter couldn’t get a clear shot on him, so I snuck into the Brush and got as close as possible, about 25 yards and placed 1 well aimed shot right at the base of his R/ Ear and it exited out His L/ Ear. He literally just collapsed. She made a perfect Lung shot at about 70yards, but just didn’t wanna give up. We gave him plenty of time to expire but when we started blood trailing him I heard then saw him stand up and started walking away slowly. I watched him go into some thick Brush, so that’s when I started to sneak up on him from downwind a closed the distance to about 25 yards and finished him off.

I'm partial to my lcp max. I wear the same kind of clothes every day for work( cargo shorts), so it's extremely easy to conceal. I also carry a get home bag to work everyday, with first aid, water, two G19's with either my MCK or sub2000.

Great list! Very helpful. I was happy and surprised to see the LCPII on the list, as that's the gun I grab the most when heading out the door. It's just so small and convenient. That P365 has my attention though!

P365 is magic. Shoots so flat for a small gun. It almost doesn't make sense.
