Brutal in that it was one of the most physical digs I've ever been on. Moving 90 lb. boxes back and forth and digging through miles of stuff we don't want. I pulled 85 records, though. I would love to visit Noble Records, but existing in north Idaho makes visiting there difficult. I would also like to attend all the record shows that go on around the country, especially along the east coast. Absolutely love your enthusiasm,but here's an advice for you pal.I have been a collector for 55 years now,and started out like you with a lot of poor condition records.I quite understand this due to euphoria of collecting,but later in life you will regret these purchases.They will be hard to sell,as the collectors will want more and more so called mint conditions.Not to spoil your joy of finding and collecting,but just a friendly advice.Keep on posting pal!!!
@sorinvinyl15235 ай бұрын
I've started to hone in more on worrying about condition. Most of my bad condition records I got for so cheap it doesn't even matter, but there are definitely many I paid too much for. I saw it more when I took my records to the record show. When they are less than $5 or like 75% cheaper then they would be in good shape, I still would probably buy it. I definitely understand now that they are much harder to sell. Thank you! ✌☮

Not really mad on jazz/improv/rock combination. Totally agree regarding the Deram label though. They released some classic U.K. psych, especially on 45's.

Nice finds! Just curious about your approach to hitting up yard sales: Are you hitting up a bunch at a time and seeing who, if any, have records? Or do you check first to see if they have records before heading to them?
@sorinvinyl15235 ай бұрын
I would usually hit up a bunch and see who has records. Always ask them if they have any, its the way I got my best collections. I do seek them out on facebook marketplace, however, I usually end up buying more records at a totally unrelated yard sale on the same day haha. I love spending my Saturday mornings driving around and looking for records at yard sales. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching ✌☮

I bought a few newer records, and I think I kept that Bruno Major for myself because it sounded interesting and wasn't like the rest of the blah pop I bought to sell. Now you got me thinking if I actually kept it. Yep, keep that shrink on. Everyone knows that on the average albums are worth more with shrink than without just like a sealed one is worth more than unsealed. In my book, there is no debate. Shrink wrap never hurt anybody and it's a myth that it warps records.
