If I want to make brown sugar Hee pan, can I just substitute the icing sugar with dark brown sugar and leave out the pandan juice?

Hi! I tried to make this just no but the surface not smooth. As I saw some same comments here. Can i replace the icing sugar with other fine sugar?

Dissolve it in pandan juice first before adding if using fine sugar.

Yes, I haven't use pandan paste before, not sure how much, just add bit by bit to water and check the colour.

Hi, i have tried this out today. Taste nice but 2 other issues i have to consult you. One is the surface is not smooth. It has the dots. Second is it has gone flatten and stick to each other. Where I need to improve on these?

Are you using the correct flour? It should be half plain flour and half glutinous rice flour. It should have flatten much. You may refer the way I shape the dough (in the video) for smother surface.
