I've been using these products for nearly 2 years. Back then i could barely get a soil sample. My yard was so compacted, digging 2 inches was a challege. Now what a difference an 8 inch screw driver goes in like butter. Awesome products, you just need to apply and be patient, but in a year you'll definitely see/feel a difference.

Man..im a big fan of my strom..but i have a chapin and ortho hose end..i used the strom to put my greeneeffect and microgreene down "doubledark"...didnt see a change in green..so im going to do it again with the hose end..maybe i just didnt get good coverage..great video and explanation of air8 and its purpose..

Hi jimmy, I spray n-ext air 8 last june 13 @9oz/1000 sq. ft. just wondering if i have to wait for a month before applying again or i can spray anytime since my lawn is very much compacted. Thanks in advance

You can spray again, maybe drop the rate, 6 oz per 1,000, but Air-8 is something that you can't over apply. So have at it.

Can someone answer me the difference between air8 and humic 12 besides air8 having 5% potassium and 8% Humic acid vs humic 12 just having 12% humic acid. There is nothing on the label saying what air8 has in it to loosen the soil. Please and thank you.

The humic loosens the soil. I'm sure air8 has something else in it to help.

What setting do you use on your hose end sprayer? I have been setting it at 2oz and walking fairly fast. Your pace was a bit slower than mine so curious what you are using.

@@b1gdave514 The dial is the setting for oz/gal. The ortho dial n spray emits at 2 gal/min. So at a setting at 4oz, you'll get 8oz of product per min leaving the tank. Full tank (32oz) will empty in about 4 minutes.

great question my understanding based on a video John Perry did awhile back is apply Air 8 in early spring and late summer. Not sure about where this regular Air 8 application is coming from,you CAN make your soil too soft with over use and professional applicators do not apply with that kind of frequency either. I personally am taking a step back from all these application recommendations. There does come a point where you are" loving your lawn to death" at the very least wasting money. I use NXT products etc but in the end folks had really nice lawns before they existed...more is not always better.

Interesting... I only have trouble with the Humic12 clogging with and without screen. Switched to the Chameleon and had no issues. The spray pattern just isnt the best

remove the filter screen thing on the tube end in the cannister keeping the weight device in place is the first thing I do. should flow fine,that being said... Switched to applying with a hand can, my applications are much more even/controlled and I use less product. I apply and water in 10 minutes per zone and the one area on my property that has no irrigation gets it before a rain event works much better for me (have a flowzone coming next week can't wait!)

KZbingeek FYI this homeowner sprayed RGS and Hydretain with his Flowzone Typhoon 2V tonight. I even used a tee jet. Does that satisfy you? The general audience of this channel has been educated to use a hose end sprayer. It’s available off the shelf and is more budget friendly, especially for beginners who want to become familiar with these products. Would I recommend a quality backpack sprayer over a $10 hose end? Of course. But for some, that might not fit the budget or they aren’t comfortable enough to upgrade. Am I willing to make future videos for this channel demonstrating application via a backpack sprayer? You bet. It’s important to demonstrate all possible application methods and I look forward to contributing that to the content of this channel.
