I flew from Los Angeles to Singapore, 18 hours. It was perfect since the plane took off at 8:30pm. A meal was served and I watched 2 movies and it was midnight so lights out. After sleeping 7 hours it was 7am Los Angeles time and just a few hours left until Singapore. Very convenient to travel this way.

Summer 2018 I flew a 15 hour flight from Chicago to Hong Kong in premium economy. It was on Cathay Pacific and it was wonderful! The crew, hot towel, entertainment choices, the food, the comfort/leg room(I'm almost 6ft tall) was fantastic! I would definitely do it all again if needed...

Yes wooow... Singapore Airlines is very highranked in the top 3 of the Airlines! In my former years as taxi driver...i drove the captains and their co pilot from Airport Amsterdam to the Hotel in busy Amsterdam Hotel Marriot! Also i drove them to Brussel...Steigenberger Hotel... The orginal captains and their co pilots from Singapore are mostly Maleisan, grounder ...much politer and friendly then the foreign captains or co-pilots who are from different countries!!!! That is my opinion!!

lardosian it’s a singaporean accent unique to Singapore:) locals speak Singlish (a slang or Singapore’s take on English) but we are educated formally in English so we can easily code switch to speaking professional English. S stewardesses are also trained to speak well and professionally. The accent is pretty similar to most South-east Asian countries.

One of my best flight experiences was on Singapore airlines in economy from Sydney to Singapore. The service I received from Joyce felt as if I were flying in First Class! I always take Singapore Airlines economy class from San Francisco to Singapore and it is a 17 hours 40 minutes flight. Even though the seats are pretty tight in economy, they have the best service. But this long hauler is a nightmare. I just wish to fly in a business class one day ! Lucky you Sam that you are able to enjoy the business class and premium economy !

Yes. They love their job because they only get to do it for eight years at most. By the time they’re burned out on flying, and dealing with passengers, they’re let go with absolutely option to stay on. By the way, I think this is a very good thing. Unlike our American flight attendants, who are permitted to stay on the job until they grow old die.

I flew on Singapore Airlines in 2009 on their then brand-new A380 from LHR-SIN-HKG and I was really impressed by the whole experience from check in to boarding it was so seamless. I haven't had the chance to fly on them since but maybe at some point in future I may choose them again and fly the A350-900ULR or the upcoming 777-900X or 787-10 It's great to see Singapore Airlines with new aircraft and new routes as I am a huge fan of this airline.

SQ is fantastic ! From F to Y it’s the best Asian and intl airline , my own experience BA Concorde was the ultimate for myself - granted not all the space But the food & wine selection was staggering !

Very interesting film. Particularly the flight information details - choice of 3 routes. Food looked delicious and sensible. Stewardesses looked gorgeous and who wouldn’t want to do over 17 hours in their company ! Well done Sam and thanks for posting.
