The mud bugs went from a pro minor league hockey team (Central hockey league) same as the brahmas, and Odessa and Corpus Christi, all these teams I listed were minor league teams that had to go down to junior

Sean Fucking Avery the teams were but the central league folded and it wasn’t that they went down they were just an expansion or relocation like the NAHL Texas tornado moved to back to where the tornado use to play witch is also where the the chl brahmas played for a bit so the tornados changed their name to brahmas

I think the stop motion Christmas film that Jason was referencing was the Rudolph the red nose reindeer film they play nonstop every December.... Not sure if they do that up in Canada but here in the states (or at least most parts of it) they constantly play Rudolph which is like a puppet/claymation stop motion film and is really old at this point. A classic.

TexasHockey Add Connor Hellebuyck to that list, he is going to be a monster in the NHL. Played for Odessa in 11-12. Watch out for Collin Delia as well. Had a great 17-18 AHL Season with Rockford and made his NHL Debut with Chicago this season.

You need to do this again. So much has changed in the NAHL since you last did this. Also, sidenote one of them was featured as one of the best logos of the last decade and the team just entered the league in 2019

Odessa is just about the roughest town in the country. The jackalope is a fictional character. Cross between a white tail buck and a jack rabbit even though it uses the “lope” part of the word antelope that is not what is commonly depicted. I grew up near here. My favorite hockey logo is the San Angelo Outlaws.

I like like the Aston Rebels logo, but back during the American Civil War, the Confederate Army were referred to as the "rebels" and wore grey coats. I'm not complaining because it's still a nice logo and very patriotic, I just wish it was more accurate. Edit: Jackalope sounds like an Avatar The Last Airbender animal. I think that's pretty cool.

The Odessa jackalopes were a central hockey league team before they ran into to much debt and converted to a junior team. Corpus Christi and the lone star(ft worth) Brahma did as well. Figured the Janesville jets would have been higher. Given your affinity for aviation.

The minotauros are my home team and they started in 2011 and I've been with them since then and they finally won their first cup ever which is called the central cup so now they are going to play against the fairbanks ice dogs to see who moves on to the finals for the Robertson cup

It’s apparent that you guys don’t like lettering on logos. However, every time a logo comes up without lettering you have to look over and squint at the screen to see who and where the team is. Part of the purpose of a logo is to identify the team.

To the point. Text in minor league hockey is purely functional. The logos just don't work without it. They're not as recognizable as major league teams. Just too bad for Shreveport, LA that they felt compelled to incorporate a "muddy" font and a bad-taste contrasting color. Still the funniest name in hockey, though. Odessa has the best logo, with that sick jackrabbit on steroids:)
