Pranayama is very effective to reduce high blood pressure, specially anulom vyom and ujjayi pranayama, but along with that you will also have to work on other aspects of life. Healthy diet, walk after dinner, reduce stress, daily workout etc.

To start with a cooling breath, as left nostril activates chandra nadi which cools and calms us down.

Yes, but do it just like I mentioned in the video and follow up with anulom vilom. Do anulom vilom for double the time that you did kapalbati.

For a BP patients with controlled BO with medication. If we want to do kapalbathi and bhastrika pranayama. Is your advice to do anulom viloam after each or do kapalbathi then bhastrika and then anulom vilom pranayana? Thanks

I would suggest to do either Kapalbati or bhastrika and follow it up with anulom vilom. Do it slowly. You can alternate them on daily basis.
