The original sound is a Pranava Nad. There is no equivalent of this in any language. So it is a symbol. However, when it is pronounced the three locations Of mouth comes in play A - Aa - आ - Larynx, U - Oo - उ - Mouth M - Mm - म् - Lips. Now when it comes to writing in English, one may see it as OM or AUM; and this is what we are discussing. Frankly, it does not matter because it is a foreign language. However, one can say OM very quickly without involving the larynx and that is wrong! So you have the choice. 🕉

Madam, Namaste. I am aged 55 and started to practice Yoga at home. I have gone through many videos and the first Video of yours popped up with " Right sequence of Pranayam " and I watched it like 10 times and you mentioned each of the sequence of pranayam has separate videos and I will surely watch them and practice. I jumped onto this video, which is about balance, and what you mentioned that it will take many days before we get balance is what I am taking as a challenge and starting to practice. will keep watching your videos for inspiration.
