I absolutely love my FONT filter. I'm hoping to see an overview of NANO's new ONA vco. Love everything this company has made so far.

3:30+ - I agree, the first patch was outstanding, particularly as a low-pass demo. I like this filter. The BP is above average for this type of filter, it seems, at least in your hands. The usual hit-the-one-sweet-spot-or-it’s-wishy-washy character seems to give way to a broader, more-usable band-pass with a sweet sound. That popped out immediately in your first swing around the features, then again with the pings. Thanks much, as always.

Nice, that's a lot of tone for 6hp! It's a lot of tone period!

This filter is great - I scored one quite cheap from eBay after watching this vid and I'm super-happy with it!

I agree. Even when I don't have the module being shown it's always educational.

@@DivKid Filter arrived this morning… Ooft! It’s got some balls this thing hasn’t it. I’ll be trying to replicate some of these patches later but, in particular, the one you were really pleased with with the dual envelopes.

have fun with the patches, let me know which patch the double envelope was (time stamp is handy 3:41 for example) and I'll go listen back.

3:41 is the exact patch I was referring to 👍 Absolutely loving this filter!

Its sound and look are 10/10 for me. Unfortunately no highpass though, which is a shame for such a lovely sounding filter. I've been looking for a second filter to compliment my Tiptop Forbidden Planet and I've been eyeballing the Bastl Cinnamon for a little while. Font sounds amazing too and I can see myself picking one up in the future. They're all rather similar sounding though, but I guess I just have a weak spot for liquid sounding filters haha.

if you have an inverting mixer, just mix your input signal with the inverse of the low pass. instant high pass filter.

Thank you for your words, as bebop7 and Rafa said, you can use it as HP filter with a mixer. FONT is waiting for you! hahaha

What module are you using for your envelope with the FONT? I guess I should ask what VCA you are using as well? Very interested in this filter for some reason. Can’t move past it. Trying to get as much info as I can, as I have been fooled by some filters before. I’m sure we all have, ha! Thank you in advance for any info you can provide! PS: finally picked up your Ochd from perfect circuit. Just got this weekend!

Enjoy ochd! To be honest I've no idea at this stage but there's nothing particular important with what I'm using and doing here. A decay envelope with an exponential curve is all that's need to get the filter moving like this. As for the VCA, I often don't put a VCA after filters, especially when demoing them so you're just hearing the filter.

I like the ergonomics and paint-job of this module. It looks to be low glare, easy to read, and not overly busy. It feels very minimalist but with some character as if designed by someone with some branding experience. How was the throw of the pots to turn compared to other filter modules? All of my filters each have a different feel to the action.

Thank you for your kind words! The pots are smooth and have great feel ;)

Just throwing this out there, I'd pay to take a "workshop" on how to think of and use techniques like you did with the complex modulation patch at 3:14. I'm always wanting to create layers and the sounds you created with the two envelopes and fx.

What modulation sources were used. Envelopes make a huge difference, were they also by NANO? Thanks 🎉
@DivKid Жыл бұрын
Hello, I'm not sure to be honest as this was years ago. NANO didn't have any envelopes out at that point so it can't have been. I can't see any modules in the video but at the time I was likely using a lot WMD Multimode Envelope and others I really can't remember. Going by the "twang" of some of those patches those envelopes are definitely exponential and they're getting attenuated on the CV inputs so the peak level isn't so important. Hope that's helpful without me having much info to go on.
