Most excellent as always Martin! I've just thought of an 'isolation' idea. How about putting an old car door into a hydraulic press, to show how a dent is created in slow motion, that would be interesting!
@dentremover014 жыл бұрын
Hi Videostarish..... great idea although I don’t have the means (tooling) to do this. I could make a video and whack a bonnet with a ball pein hammer but a lot of KZbinrs slate me already thinking I make most of the dents I repair! So may not go the right way if I do create my own!! See what I mean? I do have a video of the ball pein hammer if you want time to send it to you!

Hi Awad. It’s difficult to say unless I saw the damage, but if you have lines in the centre of the dent youve lifted up then can’t you repair these also? Or are you trying to not put the marks in? Maybe use tape on the end of your tip or a rubber coated tip. My email is dent08@yahoo.com if you want to send me a vid and il see if I can offer anymore help Cheers martin

Greetings from San Diego, California. My daughter's Kia Rio has a few dents, but I'm afraid that the mileage charge might be a bit high. My son has put a few dents in his Buick, and my Chevy Truck. I'll have him take them out. You do excellent work. I noticed that the outside corrugated wall of your shop is a great reflector board. Do you heat the surface before you move the metal?
@dentremover014 жыл бұрын
Hi Gary thanks for your comment and for watching my repairs, always best to have a technician take a look unless your Son is good at pdr, I’d hate for him to make the damage harder to repair it may cost more in the long run? It takes a long time to learn pdr, I think I’d struggle on USA cars! Yes the shop shows dents up like crazy, a little too good sometimes! I’ve been known to pull a customers car out, then notice something and pull it back in again! Warming damage up is always a good idea, makes it all move better! Cheers martin
@garylangley45024 жыл бұрын
@@dentremover01 Hi Martin. Yes, I am thinking of using a local PDR shop. They also post classes on youtube. I'd ask you to come over, but I'm afraid that the mileage charge would be quite expensive.
@garylangley45024 жыл бұрын
@@dentremover01 I've owned some American cars from the '50's and 60"s and they had some thick metal. Tapping out a dent was difficult. Once I saw a 1950 Packard, and I think that they used World War 2 surplus battle ship armour plating on the body. The doors were so heavy that they had 3 large hinges on each door. It was like opening a bank vault door. The bumpers were 1/4 inch thick. I have also owned a 1926 Ford Model T, and I was surprised at how thin the metal was. Those cars only weighed about 1200 pounds, and they used chrome vanadium steel. It is actually quite easy to remove a dent from one. The biggest problem is that the body has a wooden frame under the metal. The repair is not so easy on that.
@dentremover014 жыл бұрын
Hi Gary, I’d love to come over and also get a tan! But I don’t think we can travel! Whos the dent techs your looking to go with?
@dentremover014 жыл бұрын
Wow the USA cars are great looking vehicle especially the 60/70/80s cars they where designed to look like aeroplanes? Maybe not the 80s! Love the muscle cars I had a hellcat in last year and that metal was thick enough! I’ve worked on old cars with wood frames too, can be a nightmare especially the aluminium panels. You’ve had some great cars from what you mentioned 👍🏻👍🏻

Hi, What’s the difference between the cold glue in your description and the official glexo cold glue?? thanks!
@dentremover014 жыл бұрын
Hi Corm F Thanks for your question. I have the Glexo kit and it’s very good like this kit so I can compare. The makers of the Sticky Beast cold glue kit informed me the glue comes from the same manufacturers. They make the tabs themselves and have put a lot of work into getting these to be stick super and very capable at pulling paint! The only difference I can see without getting all scientific, The metal tabs are both totally different, also sizes and shapes of each kit. The presentation of Glexo kit is a nice touch, it comes in a storage box. I’d say the kits are very similar just a price difference. Ultimately both do exactly the same job just preference. You could compare it to buying a blending hammer. Lots of choice, look the same, parts probably made from the same manufacturer and all do the same job Hope this helps Cheers Martin
