I used to vacation on holidays and try to (and did) keep my crazy 1200 calorie diet, and workout five days a week. IA year later, (and just a month ago) I went on a week long vacation and decided it was okay to let myself have fun. I ate out six times that week, had what I felt like, ate when I was hungry, and NOTHING happened to me. This was huge for me! I used to get stressed out whenever the fam was eating out once a week and it wasn't sunday night (AKA cheat meal time). I had to experience it, but after I made a vow to never pass up social memories and events with the fear of something stupid.

I just cant believe sometimes how insecure i used to feel about gaining weight. Through your channel and channels like yours and just overall research over the years since I started doing serious training and diet modification, i've come to really understand that just because i've gained weight, doesnt mean that that's all fat. Most of the time it's just water weight. One of my lowest lows that i can remember is when I ate under 1000cals a day, sometimes as little as 500 (I'm only guessing) and I was tired. All the time. I could barely go on a walk without feeling like fainting. And I broke down when I started gaining weight. Me not realizing my body was holding onto as much water as possible and as much fat as possible because it was going into panic survival mode from the sort of "starvation" it was experiencing. I had to rewire how i was going to manage my body. I'm currently eating around 1800 cals a day and slowly increasing, and I'm lifting heavier and heavier. I'm finally gaining muscle in the booty 😍 and I have no idea how much i weigh. I think I'll probably weigh myself once a month just to have a general idea how I'm doing but I'm going largely off of how I feel. I know what to do to feel strong and energetic and healthy. I'm proud of my progress which is something so huge for me. I love your content so much Natacha, keep on keeping on 😊😊
@Sabrina111134 жыл бұрын
Yup yup yup self love changed so much I can’t believe I had days I’d meltdown over appearing “heavier” it was just water weight!!! I remember the day I stopped caring, I woke up and hated how “disgusting” I looked then I went for an intense 5miles walk/jog came back dropped 3 pounds and looked skinny as hell and I loved it. Sadly I broke down crying realizing wow this is all so stupid, a big slap in the face. I accept myself no matter what now I don’t even deal with a scale. Still beautiful and healthy!!

I loved this. And learning more about the science. I lost about 13lbs over a month and a half with somewhat calorie deficient diet, but overall very balanced. I went on a holiday and since then I've been slightly overfeeding but I thought it was crazy that I wasn't gaining, just bloating really. I am maintaining now at 11 pounds lost but I am still bloated. It's cool to know why some of the science behind bloating and how much this affects our bodies. Love you Natacha!! You are so cool and I love watching your videos.

@blancaliliaruiz47925 жыл бұрын
This is an EXCELLENT video!!! Around this time of the month for me, my caloric intake and calories increase almost double, 2,000+ a day, normally a little less than 2,000 on a normal day since I'm relatively short in height, but the water retention/bloating is REAL. When this part of my cycle is over that water sheds. Sometimes my weight goes up 10-15 pounds(not a joke). It took me a while to understand this and get used to it, but the body doesn't crave food for no reason lol. The reproductive system is laborious work to make sure that we can carry babies!!! 😂😂😂
@breakfastattiffanys741 Жыл бұрын
During weekly binges I can gain up to 20 pounds. My knees,ankles and arms hurt so much from water retention. My face also looks a good 10 years older. They are miserable time periods as you then have another 1-2 weeks recovery. Wouldn't wish BED on my worst enemy.

The end part where you show on day ten how you look almost identical, that was great to add in because personally I’d feel so paranoid that it would take a long while for my shape to go back to the way it was but this video has really helped :) especially just before I go on holiday next week! Great video Natasha ❤️

It used to be such a struggle for me to go on holidays and enjoy family time and food without having to worry about training or diet, but over the last couple of years I've really come to a place where I feel comfortable and good and don't have to worry about those kind of things while on vacation and you've definitely played a huge role on that mindset shift! I've learned so much through your videos ❤️

Okay so I have to share this- since starting to watch your videos I've been way more motivated to get into the gym. Today (saturday) I spent my night at the gym and I'm heading to bed early to get up and train in the morning. Your videos are the motivation I didn't know I needed! I love the focus on training and athleticism and not just aesthetic qualities. Now I have goals to work on my running form and be able to do a pull (or 10!) and not just a goal of losing fat. I'm so happy I found your videos!!

I absolutely love that you shed light on this for so many people. I’ve restricted myself in the past and stressed out so unnecessarily over social gatherings involving food because of like you said, losing progress. I since have realized it’s not worth the stress and as long as I continue on with being active , everything will be fine. This video shows that it’s okay! It’s so important for people who are struggling with that to see this . Thank you for putting in the work! Your videos are always so amazing and educational ❤️

This was great. I nearly chickened out of watching this video as I saw the top comment spoilers - i wasn’t ready to accept that re-feeding causes weight gain 😂 im SO glad I watched the whole thing to the end, damn what a comfort to learn all this. Especially comforting after the last few days of eating quiiite a bit more than usual hehe 😁

Truly an inspiration to me and a beautiful, genuine human being. I have completed Cut Reload and am now coming into my 5th week of Build. The changes that I have seen in my body's abilities is amazing. I have always had a bad relationship with food, but I now feel free to eat what I want and enjoy it and not feel a tremendous amount of anxiety! The world needs more of you and Mario. xx

hey sweetie, its been a long time since I've had issues with my body so I wanted to make this video to show that our bodies are a product of long term adaptations. If I live a balanced lifestyle in general then short term changes don't really make much of a difference in the long term (: all my love sweetie! xxx

This was on perfect timing!!! My family was here for a month and they are leaving on monday. These weeks with them have been a blast! And, I am going to miss them so much. So, of course I have been enjoying my time with them so much! Eating more then usual and working out a bit less and only bodyweight. I haven't been worrying about this, but I know many people do! So, I loveee you made this video, knowing that many people might be needing it!
