Her performance was definitely Oscar worthy. The Academy already confronted the rumours - you are late - they voted for her as the winner because of her acting, dedication and transformation. NOT because of her pointe skills. You should do some research before judging the decisions made by the Academy. Markus Nashorn honestly I do think it’s dumb. Many women would put their children over everything and some women should understand that. Natalie got where she is not by being born into it, she worked for it for an extremely long time at the young age of 11, so to hate on her for something she worked for is ridiculous. It’s completely normal for her to favor her child over her career. My mother favors her children more than she favors herself, she’d do anything for us. To me Natalie can do whatever she wants and if In the future she ends up retiring early to spend time with her family, then so be it. Family is the only real thing you’ll have in this industry, and it’s the only people who you have at the end of the day while millions of people hate you, so of course she should put her children first; they’re gonna be the ones to take care of her and actually have a relationship with her when she’s old and has no one else in the fake, lonely and sad world.
