I think it should be only one sedative bullet to make the animal sleep. Maybe have it so it only works if you have not been detected by the animal. I would find that stealth style of gameplay where you stalk and hunt an animal more fun than just peppering it with 20 bullets from horseback.

They were even too lazy to make the outlaw pass 100 levels as usual and topped out at 80.. but i suppose thats just my opinion. Oh my god I'd love like a horse rancher or trader role where you catch wild horses then sell them and the higher their bonding level is the more expensive they are and different horse breeds sell for different prices too! Like if you catch an arabian you get like 1200 out of selling it unbonded and 2300 if it's fully bonded Rdo desperately needs a horse update where U can in general do more stuff with horses like playing with them or teaching them tricks or resting with them like pleaseeee

Pinkamena Pie opinions are subjective, I personally think this role is really fun There isn’t much of any problem with the update really aside from maybe the lack of new story missions, they missed a big opportunity for both Harriet and Gus to offer their sides of the story with all new story missions. I assumed after Moonshiners they’d keep up a trend with continuing the Red Dead Online storyline with new story missions. Speaking of that they still need to conclude the Jessica LaClerk storyline from the beginning of RDO since that’s still not over yet And they should’ve given Gus a way bigger part in the update instead of just being another butcher to sell meat to and to sell the coats of the impossible to find legendary animals But other than those 2 issues the update is very fun and the Naturalist role is another welcomed addition to the games growing list of a wide variety of things to do and paths for your character to take

easy way out when she spray you out when you wake up sedate the first animal you see and take a sample then youll be able to speak with her right then and there , ex ; your in the bayou and she spray you , you spawn right on the other side of the bridge , when you wake up there most likely a boar almost next to you or alligator , sedate the animal take the sample then her icon will be unlock cross the bridge talk to her so in mather of minute you can get her back no need of waiting 15 min for her icon to come back

around 8:16 are you using the rolling block rifle with sedative. I thought it only worked with the varmint rifle and it IS Slooooooooow as you know. I have to chase animals for long distances because of this. Is this an upgraded sedative gun?

the role is fine if you ignore the time it takes to get to rank 5...was a nightmare, not a fan of how sedating works riddling animals with bullets until they collapse, they should've made a special weapon for it that does it quick and probably doesn't have much ammo

If you have animals asleep in the water you can lasso them you can also lasso them right after the red marker so they don't run away

My opinion: this role should have given you the choice between working for gus or working for harriet if you choose gus it would still work the same except he wants you to bring him pelts not samples. Working for harriet while still having to kill animals for ur trader business and gus makes no sense.

I got naturalist just so I could consistently get legendary pelts/carcasses for cripps. I’m only level 2 so I still have 3 more levels until I unlock legendary animal mission with Harriet but I noticed while I was sedating random animals, that after I get the sample I can’t skin them. If I sedate answer get the sample if a legendary animal, can I still use it’s carcass for cripps?

Already finished the Outlaw Pass and rank 12 in the Naturalist Role has garbage rewards, Outlaw Pass too. Legendary Animal spawns in Freemode are super random. Sometimes you spend hours in the area and nothing.. Another time I headed to the wolf and had a bison on the way.. But I like the Update, the animals... Great for the Trader. Makes the world feel great again. (Except the swamp since there are literally 700.000 alligators that piss me and my horse off)

2:50 a tip for any newer players, I only figured this out today. When animal is in water or maybe a steep hill you cannot stand still on (it happens) then you can lasso the sleeping animal and pull it

I maxed out the naturalist in two days...Mind, I'm still only lvl 9 bountyhunter, so I'm not a hard hitter in the game. I stayed around Harriet in the swamp, went out for the alligators (They don't run far when sedated), went back with the 10 I could carry...500xp every time (A little more soince I also have the outlaw pass...which went to lvl 40 during this...) ...maybe dumb on the gameplay part, but it was just total xp harvesting and too much time on hand during a few rainy days :D

I'm pretty sure R* fixed the animals a long time ago and just tossed the fix in here with this "update" to make it seem bigger. Effectively getting some people to PAY for gold to participate in this massive bug fix.

The animal spawns were never truely fixed until this update, they only kept making small improvements but they were still not too good until this update brought on the full fix. Before this update animal spawns after the various improvements were still bad like you’d kill 3 or 4 animals in an area and then after that the world was just empty again aside from maybe one animal every occasion. But this update fully fixed spawns to the way they should’ve been all this time

@@NeonTheWolf they were never fixed man. The only time you got animals was in a private server or a public with 16 players or under. Any fixes they made were only effective on the pc. I am happy we can hunt properly now it's great. Take a look at the patch notes and you will see that it's 90% bug fixes for little crap that should have, not could have been fixed a long time ago. The other 10% is content that we will all barely use once it's been completed and is already a functioning system in single player aside from stealing animal blood. Practically every last bit they added this time around was already an asset in the game back when we bought it and now that we can hunt again you gotta spend gold to do it right. Shady as fuck.

Gage gold is one of the easiest things to get anyways so its not a big deal to spend gold, its super easy to keep a daily challenge streak I had 90 gold bars saved for the update so i bought both the role and the Outlaw pass and still had gold to spare It’s the same thing as GTA where if people have trouble making money and gold without hacks and glitches they just literally have no idea how to play the game because its mega easy to be super rich playing fully legit

Same, i had the gold too and it is easy to get I never said it wasn't. The problem is they release a long overdue hunting fix with a few new features that are already in the game and did not have to develop then slap a price tag on it for multiplayer and then call it an update after 7 months! Everybody has been wanting to hunt for so long and now you can and that's awesome and exciting. But there is little pay gate wether you have the gold or not is all im saying. It's shady. Hold out so we dole out is what happened here. Barely had to lift a finger compared to the time we all waited and they are charging for it.

The pamphlet for sedative rounds are "Not the best investment"! :) It makes me wonder why it's even there. Crushed valerian root is $10 each can't currently be harvested and its only purpose is to make a $10 per shot varmint round. FFS I thought 40 cents each for nitro elephant rounds was expensive!

I'm happy there are new things to do but I and my wife and my real life friend that play together nightly are having trouble even calling out any wagon be it hunting or bounty. Still having problems while doing bounties together while one person gets credit for the objective but other two do not. Had trouble at the shack tonight even serving drinks to each other for the daily.. Anyone else having these issues? If not know of a way to fix them besides doing a bounty solo?
