Thank you for the kind and non judgemental words. In the past 8 years I've lost all 4 of my grandparents, my uncle, two family friends, watched my Dad suffer and die from cancer treatments in under a year, lost my job, two dogs, and my inlaws have alienated us. Grief and struggling with self worth is overwhelming sometimes, there is no positivity in all this loss for me. I can't help but feel angry and judgemental when people in my life don't understand how I feel because they haven't experienced this hell. But I'm learning to navigate my feelings. I know it will be a long journey. I will save this for when i need encouragement. Love and light to all struggling with a similar hell, you're not alone. 💚

This is beautiful. I often worry that my pain is for nothing, like I’ve wasted years of my life in sadness. But this reminds me that it’s not for nothing. I think surviving hard times also teaches us that we can survive anything so we can move forward with greater strength

Nothing is constant. We feel with so much of our existence through physical and emotional context. That context is processed through our cumulative experience knowledge and how we define that context. Sadness is not good or bad right or wrong it’s a visceral expression of an emotion. Usually those that are more sensitive who think very deeply through complex paradigms and heuristics will feel more. Those feelings through habituation or based on past experiences or expectations or projections into the future will have a more profound reaction. It’s wonderful to be able to feel emotions in all their glory or their grief. We each must learn to value not just our feelings but others too without judgement but with problem solving. Sometimes there is no solution other then acceptance with the knowledge that all things pass both good and bad happy or sad all things we feel are moments that we try to hold onto but like holding onto a handful of water you can’t hold it for long. I know you have deep sadness and loss. I’ve witnessed it for the many years of watching your videos. Most of it is from loss. Loss that you can’t resolve because loss isn’t resolving its based on the false premise of “ how could this have happened “? Then comes self blame or judgement of self pity or yearning for a different reality that is only a fantasy of lost one that yields more sadness and guilt. A viscous circle of circular thinking until you take a moment to seek, literally seek with energy that seems to have waned, to see a better reality an alternative to the bleakness of self pity and the otherworldly magnificence of the life all around you. Making yourself smile activates a whole plethora of endocrine and neuronal changes followed by a firm hug by yourself or another adds that extra pinch of care. This too shall pass. Sadness is just another wave you ride until the next wave of neutrality or if you’re lucky joy comes along and it will. Imagine going through life feeling nothing. How boring.

Larry, I just love your comments. I read each one a couple of times and ponder on what you communicate. Thank you so much for taking the time to Lend your wisdom to those who are willing to consider it. I think the journey of joy and the journey of sadness have so many different colours. Sometimes we can learn, and at other times, perhaps we miss our lessons, sometimes in the earliest stages of developing wisdom we’ve respond with pity. Sometimes we respond with acceptance and understanding there is so many ways we can hold this jewel of life up to the light I hope all is well Lauren

That was beautiful and very timely. It seems like I have a tremendous amount of grief and sadness at the loss of so many different relationships in my life upon awakening a few years ago, I deliberately distance myself from family members, my best friend and my last relationship when you go through these changes within yourself the people that were in your life previously no longer resonate with you. Not only have a conscientiously let go of family members and friends, but I walked away from my husband, who I have been separated, but living with due to financial reasons because I couldn’t take the verbal abuse anymore. Granted, it was not constant granted, he would never physically hurt me, but it was enough, because I started to love myself over the past few years, and began to understand that I was a human being that deserve to be treated with kindness, love and respect .. It seems like I’m experiencing a tremendous amount of challenges this past year all at one time but I don’t question it because the whole world is accelerating at a fast pace. There’s a shift going on and we are in the thick of very very challenging times that are in of themselves that we are not personally involved in them Are extremely sad and produce a tremendous amount of grief within me. Violence and wars and natural tragedies that wipe out peoples homes and everything they have I mean how in the world can not produce sadness within those of us who hold so much compassion within ourselves . I have been jumping around KZbin, listening to different people who have basically helped me through all these difficult times, but nobody has ever been as open and genuine and honest as yourself . I hope that when others listen to you, it gives them that freedom, and that feeling to do so themselves because a lot of people are too silent about their pain. I think it’s something that should be shared just as joy is shared. Ty for being so genuine, and so free with expressing your feelings, because then it gives us the opportunity to do the same as well. I have been reading other peoples comments and what they are experiencing and I want them to know that they are never alone not only do you have the universe and whatever you may consider as being God on your side whatever you want to call it you are never alone . There are so many people out there like yourself who are kind, considerate, compassionate, and caring. Sometimes you do have to seek them out and other times it just happens naturally. . I really do wish everyone who is listening here, peace, joy, and all the wonderful things that life have to offer in spite of all the pain . I am not accustomed to opening myself up this way, and I hope I don’t infringe upon Lauren and what she is saying it’s just I need to express because I normally or I have been taught to hold these feelings in and it’s definitely not the rate way to go at least that’s my experience . You must feel in order to heal . I hope I didn’t overstep any boundaries here by expressing those thoughts and feelings, but I am going through a major change in my life now moving away from a place where I’ve lived for 20 years a man that I was married to for 30 years because I need the change and even though I’m doing so and I’m feeling scared to death. I’m also feeling a tremendous amount of peace and freedom , so there’s always a price that you pay if you want to put it that way for daring to forge ahead in spite of those fears rather than remaining stuck either in a situation or a relationship or but whatever. I just learned that you don’t always need to broadcast it but sometimes you do need to vent and express your feelings and you just learn when it’s OK to Express and when it’s better to take care of it within yourself . So I hope I didn’t put anybody off by expressing myself, but it is true feelings as Lauren would put. It are very very sticky. . But it never ever means that you are stuck ….

Your last two words, added genuinely, but ever so-quickly, at the end of your thesis, is at the heart: "Love You [all]". Don't we all 'go on; go forward' by stepping outside ourselves and our unique traumas; grievings; limitations and positives? Opening-up our love (care) for others. How that is achieved is for each to choose, but 'TINA' ?

This is crazy. Today I feel sad, but I’m not sure why. Yesterday I didn’t. I “had” a friend that said that I have everything and I shouldn’t feel sad or depressed. I’m also going through peri-menopause. And, to be clear, I don’t have everything as my friend assumed because she’s not me and isn’t in a position to tell me don’t be sad. I have thoughts that affect me at times, particularly guilt that isn’t mine to carry, but I still do (I’m working on it with my therapist). Many of my sad times come from my thoughts about my mom, friends I used to have, and the pressure I put on myself to “just be better.” It can be exhausting
