I was at this game and the atmosphere was awesome. I went to a house party in Norman afterwards and there were a bunch of Nebraska fans there who partied with us on into the night. They have classy fans and it was a game I'll never forget. Boomer Sooner !

Man, we were sick this year. It was like everyone on the team had played with each other for decades. They were hungry for victory, and played like it every game. I was at this game and the atmosphere as electric as OU vs. Texas. After the win, Norman was insane, and people were just driving around in the rain at night screaming " OU ". It was what college football is all about.

The early 2000's was a great time in college football. It's impressive to me that Oklahoma has been so consistently good for the past decade. Something Nebraska, Florida State, and Miami even had difficulty doing. Says a lot about Bob Stoops and his staff.

WHAT. 17 years when he retired and 1 NC. Nobody had the moniker, "Big Lame" Bob Stoops except him.

I was an OU student at the time, and was watching this game on TV. I remember during the 1st quarter thinking "Well, it was a good run while it lasted." I was sure Nebraska had our number, and was gonna paste us. The rest of the game was pure Sooner Magic.

I was at this game, about 14 years old. I remember when we were down 14 to 0 I was getting disappointed.. my dad who was a seasoned sooner fan just looked at me and said " you're about to see a classic. " old man was correct!

Clint Elliott I too was there, I remember when Mike Stoops called the defense over to the side line after Nebraska gave us that 1... 2... punch in the mouth. After that, it was all Sooners. Still to this day I wonder what he said to them

Yep. It was a classic that most of us would later ask, "what the F did I waste my time watching?" 1) A program that may have seen its last #1 EVER. As of 2023, 250 games so far. 2) A coach 6 games from his ONLY NC in 17 years of woulda, coulda, shoulda. Stoops beat a PROVEN mediocre coach.

From a cowboy fan, great job putting these together. 2011 may be one hell of a season for us to remember in Oklahoma!

I would probably pay hundreds for every game from this season full length. I wasn't old enough to be interested in football when this season happened and now I can't get enough of watching highlights of games.

If we had this type of Defense we would be back to back National Champions easily especially with how potent our offense is

As an OU fan, after the huskers punched us in the mouth in the 1st quarter, I remember thinking "oh well, at least I know we're a lot better than we've been in years. it was a good run this year". And then we punched back in a big way. Great game!

I was at this game and I remember the atmosphere was electric. When we tied it up, you knew that we were going to pull it out. We stormed the field after 0:00 and I had to stop and think,WE’RE BACK!! Didn’t know that run would last for a while.

Been going to OU games since 86 (5years old my first one)... Was there when CU beat us and the Schooner tipped over (back in the old artificial turf days).... Was there as a HS'er when Donovan Mcnab puked in the huddle for Syracuse, and stormed the field when we blocked their FG attempt at the end to win it.... Then attended OU... Was in school at the time of this game. And I have NEVER, ever, heard, or seen Owen field (I'll always call it that/sorry Gaylord's), like it was that day. I was @ campus corner, getting a **sprite (wink wink), about an hour before kickoff. And the PA did his usual "Welcome to The University Of Oklahoma Gameday" routine... The roar... Even from half a mile away... Incredible. Like....thunder... Every snap, every play, every tackle, just....electric...Gettin goosebumps just thinkin about it.... Me and a buddy woke up around 4 AM that morning (11 o'clock kick), and I turned on espn radio. The guy came on, said, "welcome back to ESPN radio here in Bristol, where it's 5:15 in the morning local time. A full day of college football coming your way, but of course the one everyone's talking about, the big one... #1 Nebraska, at #3 Oklahoma, like two runaway trains about to collide in Norman, here in about 5 hours and change"... Gave me chills to know I was going to be there. A few minutes later we walked over to the stadium. Still dark outside. Off in the distance you'd hear a faint "BOOMER!" from people just beginning to stir. We worked our way through an open gate, and into the stadium....the lights were on a low dim, and I kid you not, there was a light...fog, kind of a mist, that hung over the field...AWESOME! Just the electricity on campus during that run, leading to that game....and that gameday... I have never seen the stadium like it was that day, before, or after. And yes I was @ the tech game for the "jump around," and that was "close," toward the end....but no match to this one... Sorry for the monologue, just an outstanding memory-

As a Sooner, Nebraska’s Athletic Director should not have fired Coach Solich; they would’ve had additional national championships. They were tough, nose-tough, evenly tough, in-the-trench-tough, etc. That was Corn Husker football.

This was the point I knew we were legit, prior to this game I felt like OU being back was all smoke and mirrors and luck. Even thumping Texas didn't convince me we were legit. Getting down 14-0 and then just steamrolling Nebraska the rest of the way was a great thing to see.
