Without a doubt, Neil Young & Crazy Horse (1997) best concert I have ever been to, or probably ever will. The whole experience was an amazing blessing, and it ranks right up there with the births of my two children. Jesus Christ that man can rock it out! Crazy Horse is just the shit! Love you Neil!!!

Love the way Neil uses his lyrics to express what he feels. While leaving his fans to interpret in their own way, there is a message in his songs. In this one, for example, there is a blind man with an answer in his hand, yet people don't ask him, but instead turn to those with eyesight (river of sight) for answers they could only understand were they also blind. The sarcasm and irony are refreshing, in that Neil says exactly what he wants. I read his book "Shaky"--a must for NY fans. Go Neil !

Absltely brilliant. I have never heard this version before. It is amazing for someone who just a few years before had no confidence that he could sing, could then sit down (its harder sitting down) and sing in such a a loud and true voice, pitched so high, with so much confidence. He didn't miss a note or falter at all. What a star. Thnaks a lot for posting this, I was mesmerised.

i was lucky enough to have grown up back in the day and neil was a standard at the all day concerts, we'd head to austin and spend the day listening to kick ass music and smoking cheap weed. a concert, a bag of pot and some beer and you were done spending money at 25 dollars!!!! concert tickets were 7 dollars, a bag of weed 10 and the rest for beer! and we saw everybody. more than once. it was a great time to grow up musically. there were no boundaries. just a wide open field. fabulous!

Neil Young was the first artist I ever stopped to listen to when I was about 14 or 15. The album was Harvest and it took me to a place I'd never been with music. I must have listened to it a hundred times, amazed at what I was hearing in musical delight , lyrical mystery, and truth. I've followed him over the years and only hope to see him live some day.

i was lucky enough to be right there when this went down. having loved CSNY etc, and having seen Buffalo Sringfield .in about '75 Neil was gonna do a show at UCLA. i snuck-in with a friend, and sat near the stage. knowing he was just gonna be doing a solo act, i wasn't expecting very much at all, in the way of being impressed. i was use to being blasted by some of the greatest rock acts in history. to this day i am still in awe of how much he touched me, down deep. it was truly unforgettable.

I think that Neil Young is a rare kind of musician. You know, there are many artists whose songs don't sound as good when performed live, because of all the studio work behind it. But Neil is an exception, he always sounds better live, probably because of all the feeling he puts into his songs.
