I have been doing your workouts for the past 2 weeks working my my way up. I am getting my strength back after 6 months of chemo ( I completed chemo 2 months ago).your workouts are the best - keep me focused and motivated. The voice over is so much better than having instructors talk so much before each exercise - you lose momentum. Keep the videos coming please!!!

NY Traveler so happy to hear you are getting your strength back and practicing these workouts. You are a superwoman! There is no rush so just do what you can and be kind to your amazing, beautiful body while it recovers. Thanks for feedback about voiceover. Some don’t like it but I feel I can give better cues doing it this way and Yes more flow! All the best to you.

I am thrilled you enjoy the workouts June and over the moon your love for Pilates has been rekindled! Brilliant. I will do my best to get more videos out there. In the mean time, you could even experiment with doing level 1 and 2 but add on slightly heavier springs and even increase the amount of reps per exercise? Just a suggestion to keep it interesting and challenging for you.

Can you compare your springs to the aeropilates that has only 4 springs (2yellow and 2 blue) And thank you so much for your professional instruction!
@NellHoess3 жыл бұрын
Hi Judy. I am not familiar with the aeropilates reformers, unfortunately. But what I can say is, feel for the strongest springs and that is 1 spring in my videos. Then feel for the tension that is a little lighter than the strongest, that is 1/2 spring tension in my videos.Then usually reformers have an even lighter spring which is a 1/4 spring tension in my videos. If I say put 2 springs on, then that means 2 of the strongest springs on. If I say put 1.5 springs on, then that is 1 strongest and 1 medium spring tension. I hope that helps.

@NellHoess7 ай бұрын
in my videos 1 spring = full strength spring. 1/2 spring = medium tension 1/4 spring = lightest tension. So when I say 2 springs that = 2 strong springs. When i say 3/4 spring that = 1 medium plus 1 light spring. I hope that helps!
@batuhanhismom49933 жыл бұрын
I do this video and I have knee ache. Could you tell the colour of the strings? I have 5 colour in my pilates reformer . By the way I loved all your videos, perfect. Thank you very much.
@NellHoess3 жыл бұрын
Hello! Ok...knee ache....not great. Make sure the footbar isn't up too high. When you are doing plies, and the carriage is in at the stopper, you want about a 90 degree angle at your knee (from side on) so your knee isn't too compressed. Dont overload the springs...too strong will make your thighs tight and pull on your knee which causes knee pain. Pull on your springs and feel for the different spring tensions. To do plies, just have 2 strong springs on and take the rest of them off. Also make sure you stretch your thighs and TFL out. Often people with sore knees have very tight TFL and thigh muscles. I hope this helps.

If i dont have a box, what do you recommend to do when you are using the box in this video?
@NellHoess3 жыл бұрын
If you don’t have a box, I would recommend investing in one because the Pilates Method uses the box a lot, so well worth getting one. In the meantime, try experimenting using a Swissball instead. Or try the shorter videos in my playlists, 20 min ones and 10min ones. These don’t use the reformer box. Enjoy
