"The younger generation doesn't have a deep connection with nature" Meanwhile I literally just got back from spending a week at a cabin in West Virginia and nearly broke my neck hiking around civil war ruins. I am 24, on the older end of Gen Z. I grew up hiking and fishing. It's almost like an entire generation of human beings aren't all the same.

Exactly bro it’s culture and class. Not generation. There are boomers and Gen X that are addicted to materialistic things and technology. It’s ridiculous bro. These people need to chill. Bumpkin or City Folk it doesn’t matter. Just live your life and stop believing in generations (they don’t exist it’s just a made up concept)

Exactly! I hate hearing people telling me that my generation was raised by technology, little did they know that I kept playing with my playmates until 9 pm and I always ended up with a terrible bruise on my knees when I was in elementary school. Even the kids in my apartment play every single day in our alley with their bike.

Yeahhh honestly I hear you cuz so many across generations act offended over people being themselves and treats other people as fragile for caring. It's annoying how there's this need people have to put down the younger gen as if they're not people with their own lived experiences. If I got lied to about what I signed up for I'd be mad honestly. Appreciate your commentary. Nice timing lol. And destroying people's property is so, says a lot.

ok...so we all know people who could be classified as "snowflakes" using the current definition when applied to people. The right-wing conservatives first started using it as a derogatory term for liberals seeking a more respectful and affirming society...but then it became clear that those on the right were just as emotionally fragile...if not MORE. In truth...both sides have people like that. A lot of them. All ages, too. Some of the biggest "snowflakes" I know are over 50. I hate that term, though. It's used to judge and bully people for how they feel about things...and though some are certainly over-dramatic, judgment and bullying are not okay. Expressing emotion...even over things that previous generations might find trivial...doesn't mean you're fragile. In most cases, I think it suggests the opposite. Many people fear expressing too much emotion in front of others. I grew up in the 80's and 90's, and my childhood was very different than that of modern kids. Do I think that makes them or their parents "weak"? No. Not at all. It's true that society it continuously progressing, and naturally, we're becoming more understanding of our differences; more respectful of them; and more aware of the effects of our words and actions on others. People we refer to as "snowflakes", are simply people unafraid of expressing how something is effecting them or effecting others...even though others may think they're overreacting, but they themselves wouldn't be so effected by that specific thing. A few people take it a little too far...but even then, it's important to NOT treat them as though their feelings aren't valid. Think whatever you want. Feel whatever you want. If you don't understand, or can't relate to the emotions of someone else...either accept that you can't relate, and move on...or educate yourself if you can, so that even if you can't relate, you might at least understand. But treat people with respect. If someone's having an abnormally severe emotional reaction to some minor problem or inconvenience...maybe find out WHY? There's most likely something going on beneath the surface that you can't see. We all have feelings. We all express those feelings in different ways...and we all have "snowflake" moments.

I paid good money to stay at a glamping site like that! Only difference was the place I went had a hot tub. You wouldn't have to trick me into doing this show, this stuff looks so fun! 7:08 - Actually my Gen X mother really does forage for berries 😂she uses them in her jam making. 11:45 - Actually, unless they signed some sort of waiver she could actually have grounds to sue. As far as she was concerned she was going to a fancy resort where her designer shoes would be appropriate, had she known she was going to the woods she'd have likely packed cheaper stuff that she wasn't worried about ruining.

even if it was a pramk, the fact that they actually dumped a plastic suitcase into a lake is so disrespectful to nature and so unsustainable... like do they not see the irony in disrespecting the planet to prove a point about our generation not being out in nature??? like we may not camp every week but we're not throwing gasoline into lakes. most of us recycle and take public transport. we're low key the generation that ACTUALLY cares about the planet. I wasn't living for that prank.
