So many people say “musicals don’t adapt well on screen” that’s NOT true! The problem is the directors they pick. Mr. Miranda, I want to thank you for several things. I am in my 80's, and I heard of the show, Rent but never desired to see it. Now I watch all the KZbin presentations, old and new, I can find. I never knew who Jonathan Larson was, and through your outstanding direction and Andrew's acting, you have brought him to life for me. Another Thank you is that I always liked Andrew Garfield and thought he was a good actor, but you got out of him his true greatness. I could go on and on, but I want to say that you were one of the few directors who made a great stage to film musical. I will never get to see Hamilton, and I regret that. I would like to experience your genius in person rather than just read about it. Finally, I had to watch Tick...tick boom over and over. It was so well done. Too many of your directorial insights are missed in one or two viewings and Andrew's talent, and all the cast's outstanding performances. Thank you, Mr. Miranda. Tom

Andrews long pause before saying he will be turning 30 years old is so perfect. Honestly don't believe any other person could have made this film. I feel like the big issue with a lot of movie musicals that miss the mark or just don't work, is that they aren't being made by the people who know the ins and outs of Musicals both stage and screen (also film studio executives and producers can obviously play a big part in tampering with the film). Cannot wait to see more from Lin-Manuel Miranda's filmmaking.
