Thank you soooo much for this detail explanation!!! It really helps me what’s really going on in my body. I thought i had heart issue or having a pre stroke:/ Its anxiety attack that is making me feel like crap. This information makes me feel better and understanding what’s going on with me. I’m not as scared. This time my anxiety created stomach issues acid relux and it was hurting my chest which created more anxiety.

I'm sorry you are suffering from anxiety. It's great you are educating yourself to understand better what's going on and how to help yourself.

Amazing! The ‘play dead’ is the missing piece! I never felt that ‘fight/flight’ was a complete concept. Play dead is by far, the most common response, from my experience.

Thanks Mira. Yes, the 'play dead' / freeze / 'it's hopeless' response is very common, especially for people who've had traumatic experiences at a very young age when mobilization into action was not possible. Keep going!

Thanks. So helpful and calm presentation! Have you worked with adoptees? Many of their beginnings of life develop in fear and danger as a result of being separated from the genetic mother.

Hi @createcollaborate, thanks for your comment. Yes, we work with a lot of adoptees and their families through our home neurofeedback services to help those brains re-regulate and so they can bond with their new families more easily.

Thank you Natalie. You explain it so well. On the topic of fear. Are the fears coming from the subscious?
@Neurofeedbacktraining2 жыл бұрын
HI Lynn, yes that's a perfect way of describing where the fears come from in psychological terms.

Neurofeedback protocols (Alpha protocol or SMR) aiming at prefrontal cortex or at amygdala? In the case of hypoarousal you choose to "stimulate" the brain with beta training?
@Neurofeedbacktraining Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for your question. I use NeurOptimal neurofeedback, which is a Dynamical Neurofeedback device. It is the latest generation in that the design has changed from manually setting protocols, which you accurately describe, to being fully automated. Dynamical software alerts the brain to its own maladaptive patterns (dysregulation) in realtime and it will shift based on its organic ability to be responsive to the new information. Here's a webinar where I go into it in more detail: www.neurofeedbacktraining.com/webinar
