One tip I like doing whenever I filter through a glass pipette is to push air using a plastic syringe attached to some flexible tygon tubing. The tubing fits perfectly around the rim of the glass pipette and pushes liquid through any blockages that might form.

Similar to this, I use NaHCO3 instead of the aluminum for sensitive compounds needed for NMR analysis. Works very well without possible formation of HCl or other Cl sensitive reactions occurring. Nice video 😁

Thank you for your comment. That is also a good idea for acid sensitive compound. But Alumina is more safer.

Nice knowhow. Thanks for sharing! Are you obliged to wear gloves when you work or is it just your preference ?

We must have to wear gloves during work. Safety glass and gloves both.

Do the recycle the borosilicate glass waste? I think they melt it back down and blow it again? I have collected vintage glass for years. Especially sep and addition funnels😀

I don’t know. Maybe they do but definitely they must sort out the glass. Thanks 🙏 for your comment. Love ❤️ all time dear.
