@@SpiritsEnchantments Totally agree! My 2nd ever T some 20 years ago was c.versi (and my main display spider today is her great-child). I was much into pot in my younger days and I would spend whole days putting her terrarium on the floor, smoking and lying on the carpet watching the animal. Yeah, most peers thought me a weirdo and they were probably right :D

Well! I've never seen a female drum so much or so fast. She's definitely not a male killer. And she's such a good looking specimen that at least some of the babies should be special. Your judgment and technique seemed flawless. Congratulations.

Hey I made that, it's a modified version of the spider pattern from FivePointsElements (etsy) and yes a LOT of weaving and sewing 😩

@@melo7467 God it sounds like it, I hope it was a fun make though. How long did it take you to make?
@melo74674 жыл бұрын
Probably 2-3 days total aside from needing to go to the store for supplies multiple times because my estimations sucked lol. The big one is the exact same pattern as the small but using thicker yarn so they take the same amount of time aside from the sewing and stuffing taking longer for the big one

I have tried breeding T’s before. B. hamori in fact. That was about ten years ago. I knew how to tell when a male was mature, but females left me stumped on the matter. So as you could expect, I tried pairing a mature male with my large female, whom was not drumming in return. It didn’t go as planned. Both spiders engaged each other, fangs bared. The male did try to copulate with the female and I assisted by restraining her with my forceps. Both spiders were unharmed in my attempt to pair them. Of course, no egg sac and slings resulted from the attempt and the male was never seen drumming again until he passed away. The end.
