Only uncooked/fresh chicken needs to be cooked to 76-78*. That is precooked chicken that just need warming through.
@derryshore5586Ай бұрын
Sorry, but you are wrong. My hubby and I had a cooked ham and cheese toasty when out..The ham was cooked. The ham was not heated through to a very hot temp. We both got food poisoning. Same with that pre cooked chicken. It has to be hot..Otherwise food poisoning..Plus the product is frozen.
@jamiemaguire6988Ай бұрын
@@derryshore5586 That sounds like bad luck tbh or the ham was off. I've had ham and chicken slices fresh out the fridge going in between 2 slices of hot toast, so you know it's not been hot but slightly warm when eating and no issues. Plus those trays of prepared sandwiches at functions tend to sit and get to room temperature and are still eaten with no ill-effects.
@andywatts8654Ай бұрын
Ham is cured - it can be eaten at any temp but should be kept refrigerated or bacteria could build up
@PotatoPirate123Ай бұрын
@@derryshore5586its almost impossible to establish what caused food poisoning in most cases, as the gestation period can be days and even a week. I imagine as a couple that you eat a lot of meals together too, and you are HIGHLY unlikely to get food poisoning from ham that hasn’t been warmed though - do you really think any surviving bacteria on cured meat will have chance to multiply in the time it’s on your plate?? If anything, it will have been the side salad responsible for any food poisoning. Commentor is correct, probing a piece of cooked reheated chicken is unnecessary and borderline ridiculous. It doesn’t need carefully pasteurising like raw poultry as it it will have been frozen almost as soon it was cooked.

This is one of Cole Palmer’s favourite meals (Chelsea’s young striker). Although he used to get it as a teenager from local take aways. I did try it today and it seemed decent to me, although it seemed to be containing a bit too much spices or salt and pepper in there at some point. I reckon ALDI’s boxed version might be nicer, as they also provide you with a satchet with sliced peppers.

I find that foods that are “ salt & pepper “ flavoured are always too salty for me. I think they use Himalayan salt, which I find very salty. If Gareth found this too salty ? Then it probably is. As he does like a bit of salt on his grub. I think I’d go for some chicken nuggets and some oven crinkle cut chips. Then add my own seasoning. I noticed that Mr G didn’t taste any pepper coming through because of the salt. A good review, as always. But this is a definite, “ give it a miss “ item.

The ingredients don’t look quite as rough as that last one, but still, that’s a lot of salt & palm oil, that stuff always leaves a dry lardy coating on my tongue and I think maybe that’s why manufacturers who use it often put way too much salt or sugar into things when there’s a lot of it. Obviously you can go too far! Cheers fella, go have a drink.

@briangowland9034Ай бұрын
No wonder it's salty. Look at the nutrition again - 1.27g salt per 100g. The whole bag is 450g - that's about 6.3g of slat for the bag. That's probably about a heaped teaspoon. Plus MSG has a saltiness to it although it's not quite the same as regular salt.
@sparsh415Ай бұрын
They should put the chips and spices in separate bags then you can cook the chicken for longer ,the chips for less and season to your own taste+ more people would buy it as you don`t have to add the spices and could just add sauce. I think the idea is good and the price for what your getting but they defo. need to make a couple of changes.

Further to the comment below about the seasoning spelling mistake, they spelt aniseed wrong in the ingredients list too.
@carldone6845Ай бұрын
Cooking times in Air fryers can be a bit of a guess even with guidelines. I like my salt but that seems too much for me. There is a few issues with the packaging and instructions. No seasoning packet, which is in the instructions, and the ingredient 'Aiseed' which I think should be Aniseed.
@BaldFoodieGuyАй бұрын
Very true!
@SkaterbunАй бұрын
Weird how you have to guess, can’t be safe if the AF heats up some of the chicken hotter than the rest of it, not evenly cooked. I don’t have a thermometer like Gareth’s so I would never have guessed. Least in the normal oven you stick it in for the time stated on the packet and you can trust what you’re eating.

The new American hot burger is. Beef (87%), Spicy Pepperoni Pieces (4%) (Pork, Pork Fat, Water, Salt, Milk Sugar, Smoked Paprika, Milk Proteins, Paprika Powder, Dextrose, Sugar, Garlic Clove, Antioxidants: Sodium Erythorbate, Extracts of Rosemary; Paprika Extract, White Pepper, Nutmeg Powder, Preservatives: Potassium Nitrate, Sodium Nitrite), Water, Jalapeño Chilli (2%), Crumb (Rice Flour, Water, Bamboo Fibre), Onions, Spices (Garlic Powder, Smoked Paprika, Black Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Coriander Powder, Cumin Powder, Mustard Powder, Chipotle Chilli Powder, Fennel), Dextrose, Sea Salt, Sugar, Yeast Extract (contains Barley), Emulsifier: Diphosphates; Paprika Extract, Antioxidant: Ascorbic Acid. @weebizzom1495Ай бұрын
I wonder if there has been a mistake with that batch or something. 1.27g of salt per 100g is 1.27 per cent, which is roughly what you get in salted butter, e.g. Lurpak says 1.2%. It would still have a lot of salt because you are eating quite a lot of food (you wouldn’t eat a whole packet of butter) but it should not taste all that salty. Maybe the sesoning it said to sprinkle was scattered inside instead so you got all of it? Mind you, salty or not, I am not impressed by the palm oil or the cotton oil. Cotton? Do I eat it or wear it? No, not for me. Thanks for the review - one to avoid, I'm afraid.
