John, what exactly do you describe as a mystic? Why are they called this?

A mystic is someone with experiential knowledge of God. Anyone can be that. It is not bound to race or class or gender or income or education. It is actually connected to the word for “mystery” in the Greek, which is transliterated as “musterion.” A Christian mystic is someone who understands their experiential knowledge of God in tandem with the Christian faith.
