Question of the day: What’s the most random fact you know?
@lorenzsabbaer77255 күн бұрын
everybody knows on the german autobahn you can go as fast as you can if theres no speed limits applied. what alot of ppl dont know is that theres a recommended speed of 130km/h. if you drive way over that speed, your insurance company might not cover you if you have an accident, if you have driven too fast f.e. cause of conditions like traffic or rain etc.. ;)
@henrycampling21325 күн бұрын
i cant complete a stage on a rally yet u can fly round bends waving at people

@lorenzsabbaer7725 that's really good to know! I've been a couple of times on the autobahn, but had no idea that could be the case.. Thanks!

@henrycampling2132 it only takes some practice😉
@RodsFromGod_265 күн бұрын
@@lorenzsabbaer7725 Likewise that recommended 130kmh (81mph) speed, is also the safe *minimum* speed - especially in congested or construction zones and the like. We could like REALLY use that in the USA...lol. Damn blue hairs doing 40mph in the fast lane rubbernecking are deadly!

This is solid proof that high quality textures along with realisting lighting and coloring can make even a 20 year old game look realistic. So many racing games nowdays make super-detailed 3D models and still end up looking cartoonish because of the bad lighting and colors.
@ProjectSimRacing5 күн бұрын
Exactly!
@ElShogoso4 күн бұрын
I find cardboard cutout trees way more immersion breaking than stylized lighting. Though I don't care for realism in visuals, as long as they're consistent and the art direction is good.

@dragoblondet7863 I get what you mean! I think it mostly comes down to me pushing the car a bit too hard and being a bit too heavy on the throttle. RWD rally cars naturally require more finesse, and if you’re too aggressive, they can feel like they’re sliding more than they should😉

So seriously here. I found your channel I guess a year or so ago now, maybe a bit less. I want to say it was before the EA WRC game came out for sure. Anyways lol watching the videos now - I'm not even kidding I get major anxiety, like I'm driving or something. Which you know, is kind of the point of the setup you have I imagine. But man, these narrow courses in RBR or WRC etc. just make me so nervous. Quite viscerally I'd say. But in the end, amazing stuff man. I'm glad I found the channel again after a few months.
@ProjectSimRacing5 күн бұрын
Haha, that’s exactly what I’m going for! 😆 Rally stages, especially in RBR, are pure adrenaline, so if you’re feeling that nervous energy, then mission accomplished! Really glad you found your way back to the channel, appreciate you watching! 🙌
@chrischapman27055 күн бұрын
I'm on xbox so only have EA WRC as an option. Although I absolutely love it, what's your opinion on RBR as a comparison?
@LordLOC5 күн бұрын
@ I can tell you this much, RBR has been continually updated with new content by the community with mods and what not. I think there's a community patch project also, but don't quote me on that, PSR would be the one to answer that one. RBR is much more sim based compared to EA WRC, even though WRC 24 is much more sim-based than the previous WRC entries were it's still a sim-cade experience compared to RBR.
@ProjectSimRacing5 күн бұрын
Totally get that, mate! EA WRC is a solid option, and I’m glad you’re enjoying it. But if I’m being honest, RBR is on a completely different level when it comes to realism. The physics, force feedback, and precision you get are unmatched. WRC 24 has improved a lot and is fun to play, but it’s still more on the sim-cade side compared to RBR. If you ever get the chance to try RBR on PC, it’s 100% worth it!
@ProjectSimRacing5 күн бұрын
Couldn't have said it better myself! RBR is in a league of its own, and the modding community has kept it alive and evolving for nearly 20 years. The community patch and all the physics improvements make it feel like a modern sim. WRC 24 is definitely fun, and I do enjoy it, but compared to RBR, it’s night and day...

@FedorBrickTop Keep it up, mate! Your kits might actually be the same as mine, but for some reason, they seem to show up more in your videos. Take a look at this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/jp29coSKnL92edksi=1hcxFQduf0wXdNIO and you’ll see exactly what I mean, they look very similar to your kit, which is why I thought you had the same one.

@ProjectSimRacing5 күн бұрын
I really appreciate the feedback mate and you are not the first to say that. The problem is that I can't use Nvidia Shadoplay to record triple screens..🙄
@Brown2Fox5 күн бұрын
@ Oh, totally get that! 😅 Yeah, the only workaround I can think of is saving the replay (in games that support it), switching to single-screen mode, reloading, and recording the replay… which sounds like a bit of a hassle. Either way, love the immersion you’re creating. Keep doing your thing! 👊🚗
@ProjectSimRacing5 күн бұрын
@Brown2Fox Thank you so much, mate! Really appreciate it 🙏 I actually considered that, but the biggest issue is that most games don’t allow saving replays, and if I switch from triple screens to single display mode, I’d lose all my triple screen settings. That means I'd have to redo everything from scratch each time, which isn’t really practical. But I do get why people would love to see it!😊

How can it be that an entire team can't make the tracks look better? In the RBR mod community there are usually only a few people working on a track. Sometimes even just one person. And that's completely voluntary and free. (Some of the community donate smth of course, which is absolutely fair) :)

Yeah, time and passion definitely play a huge role. Modders do it purely for the love of the game, while big studios have deadlines, budgets, and publishers to answer to. Most random fact(s): The Fanatec Podium Button Rally’s OLED display still doesn’t work…sadly Also, ProjectSimRacing is The Stig of KZbin. Has the best racing content and doesn’t have to say a single word
@ProjectSimRacing6 сағат бұрын
Haha Thank you so much for that mate! Really appreciate it 🙏 💙 As for the Podium button rally, I've actually heard that if you turn off both Fanatec and Fanalabs, the display should work. I haven't tested that myself yet, but I will soon😊

@ProjectSimRacing would you recommend it? And can you use it as a webcam when it is connected to your pc?

@benji6833 it's a good canera, and they do have an app for it, so I'm pretty sure you can. But I'm not 💯 because I never tried it as an Webcam.

Yepp RBR is hard to beat when it comes to simulation. But please, change the sound of that Toyota to something more realistic, its not a 5cyl engine ;)

Everything so awesome, RBR, your driving, stage.. and then you use 5cyl sound on a 4cyl car. Why would you do such an immersion breaking thing?
@ProjectSimRacing2 күн бұрын
Haha, I know! 😆 To be honest, I actually forgot to change it at first, and after a couple of practice runs, I did switch it back to the original sound, but it just sounded so dull in comparison! So I went back to the 5-cylinder 😆🤣 But I get what you mean, it just sounds wrong.. Thanks for the kind words, mate! 🙌

Minute 1: 08 No acceleration. Car is almost standing, the wheels are spinning. In a rally, grip is everything and you have none

@@ProjectSimRacing no its a simple game. Its only for you to feel the speed diverent i believe the real life speed is in rush rally 3 how in real life speed . big different is uphill downhil 4x4 or frd or rwd heavy car or Light
