This battered coastguard’s tower in East Yorkshire was abandoned over ten years ago when it became unsafe. Years passed before it was eventually bought for £175k at an auction by Leeds couple, Zahid and Ferzana.
Now, the couple aspires to rebuild the property as a three-bedroom family home, setting themselves a ten-month target to complete it. However, due to a host of issues, such as a disastrous ground survey, a planning enforcement officer having the site shut down and problems getting in their required anti-collision glass panes, things did not quite move as smoothly as Zahid and Ferzana anticipated.
