Did you know that the hyper punk (2:20) body design was designed on accident , a designer created a really complicated design, then he accidentally hit the wrong key and turned the design into this pixilated form , other designers though the design suited the futuristic look ,and so did the head of the design team, so nissan chose it and here it is. (Best believe that the guy who spent weeks on that design when home crying since they liked the ps2 looking car better 💀)

Personally, I find the Mazda is the best one out of them all not only because of the rotary engine which is the only non-electric one here, the design is also very clean and smooth, not to mention the pop up headlights, very futuristic but elegant at the same time just like it’s grandpa RX-7. I also like the other ones too, I like futuristic vehicles, but I feel like they’re too edgy and look kinda rough, like the new GT-R is basically how I drew the R35 GT-R when I was 5. Those futuristic wheels alone combine with the current design should look good enough, just some tweaks to the current one should do everything. Other than the outside designs, I absolutely love those interiors, they’re just what I needed for a perfect car.

I'm excited about the possibility of a new Honda Prelude. They already said it's going to be a hybrid powertrain, instead of a BEV, so I'm especially hopeful that it might become a production model with styling similar to the concept car (and maybe even an automatic instead of a CVT 🥺).

The more i look at these modern 3 polygon concepts, the more i appreciate old school design. This isnt to say that these concepts look like trash. Mazda and Honda concepts look nice imo. I just dont like too many sharp angles on cars.

the Honda engineer of the prelude confirmed it to be a hybrid and yes it's close to production. He also mentions that you can tell which wheels are driven by looking at the shape. So FWD but because it's a prelude there's probably going to be a twist.

Why do some car manufacturers think new cars have to look like a spaceship to look modern. Most are just ugly. Seems Toyota is the only one who still knows how to design a good-looking car. The GT-R is awful, the Mazda is great looking, and the Toyota GR concept sport car is fire! Glad I have my GR Supra, out of cars that normal people can afford it may be one of the last beautiful cars in production.

Don't get me wrong, some of these cars really look nice as concepts, but my question is, they tend to go a little extreme with the screens and new tech, etc. Where do they fit the passenger airbag if their dashboard is a screen? How does the airbag deploy behind the screen without shattering it in the passenger's face for example. Same goes for the driver. All those fancy F1 steering wheels, do they actually need them?
