It's 2024. Whenever I listen to this, it brings me back to 1999. A troubled 17 y/o with a very uncertain future. A 17 y/o who just wants to get away from everything to get my peace of mind. Brings back a lot of bittersweet memories to be honest. The line "If I could ask God just one question, why aren't You here with me tonight" still hits me so strong as if it were yesterday. Until I have moved on, I will always have this song to remind me of everything.

For me it's about my loss of my 12 year old daughter to self infliction, I remember knowing all the worfs of the New Radicals back in 2000, my daughter has been gone since 2001 Today it makes 23 years and these words speak to me. We would always listen to new radicals together and dance in our mudroom and I miss her so much so yes I am always listening to music that reminds me of her. Miss the New Radicals !!!

@@msgretrogamer Thank you, I would do the same thing with all my kids, and she loved The New Radicals, This song was on the movie " A walk to remember" which came out right about the time she died, and everyone at her school that was in the Drama club with her, would say that movie reminded them of my daughter and I can just remember dancing in the mudroom of our home feeling on top of the world with all my kids healthy and alive, and now I am here writing on songs that remind me of her, I thank you for writing

Same can be said for Alexander's song writing partner Danielle Brisebois, the two founding members of New Radicals. Both are still writing songs. A few years ago, they collaborated on a song called "Lost Stars" which was used in the feature film 'Begin Again' and was nominated for an Academy Award.

His own music label killed him off because he was outspoken and revealed how evil was the music industry. He also exposed a lot of the treason Bill and Killary did back in the days. He was labeled a conspiracy theorist at was never welcomed in Hollywood or any music labels, but he still performed solo in the early 2000s

I mean, technically they were a one-hit wonder. This song went nowhere on the charts and the album, while f*cking amazing (probably my favorite of all time to be honest), didn't generate any more singles after this one.

I totally agree with you, I brought the album back in 99 and I still have it and it still plays, one of the best albums i every brought, gregg Alexander went into writing and producing after, if he continued new radicals could of had at least 5 more major hits he wrote 3 for Ronan Keating including life is a rollercoaster and inner smile for Texes and the game of life for Santana a Grammy winner

One of the most underrated songs ever...if you've had your heart broken 💔 you could really relate to this song. If you don't feel anything from this song, you must be dead from the neck up or never experienced love before. It's a pity that this group only stayed together for such a short time. This song is really TIMELESS and can speak to anyone years from now. The references like Amelia Earhart, the Titanic, Atlantis, and other unanswered questions are brilliant. Gregg Alexander truly brings this song to the heart....just wish this song receives more accolades for it's message. Thank you New Radicals for delivering a song that speaks for millions.

(LYRICS) Ninety miles outside Chicago Can't stop driving I don't know why So many questions, I need an answer Two years later you're still on my mind Whatever happened to Amelia Earhart? Who holds the stars up in the sky? Is true love just once in a lifetime? Did the captain of the Titanic cry? Oh Someday we'll know if love can move a mountain Someday we'll know why the sky is blue Someday we'll know why I wasn't meant for you Does anybody know the way to Atlantis? Or what the wind says when she cries? I'm speeding by the place that I met you For the ninety-seventh time, tonight Someday we'll know if love can move a mountain Someday we'll know why the sky is blue Someday we'll know why I wasn't meant for you Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Someday we'll know why Samson loved Delilah? One day I'll go dancing on the moon Someday you'll know that I was the one for you Ow! Open up the world I bought a ticket to the end of the rainbow Watched the stars crash in the sea If I can ask God just one question Why aren't you here with me tonight? Someday we'll know if love can move a mountain Someday we'll know why the sky is blue Someday we'll know why I wasn't meant for you Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Someday we'll know why Samson loved Delilah? One day I'll go dancing on the moon Someday you'll know that I was the one for you
