I don't know why so many people hate on the plate/indicator/fender mount setup, it is one of my favorite setups. I know to each his own but keeping that tail super clean and streamlined is so much nicer. The seat cowl is something I am definitely interested in, especially my recent Triple Tribute purchase I think it would fit very well. Definitely grabbing a set of levers and probably bobbins though, thanks!

I can't say the look of the rear number plate mount bothers me but what does annoy me about these things on any bike is the missed opportunity to bridge between it and the hugger to provide a proper, close fitting, mudguard that would be not too visible in black and protect both the suspension unit and the back of one's legs. The Chinese can do it on their electric commuter machines. Hell, even Harley have managed it on the Livewire. A front mudguard wouldn't go amiss either.

I’m not sure how much I like the cowl. It’s pretty by itself but I’m not sure I like how it takes away the svelte tail and makes it almost as/more prominent than the tank because of the plastic on the tank having a sort of slimming effect on the overall tank size. Might feel differently from other angles. It’s certainly something many will like I’d imagine.

Some really great improvements which i would agree with, as you would expect from TEC, especially the seat cowl / tidy. I do agree also that the rear plate hanger is pig ugly, and should be done away with, so an under seat hanger with suitably modified undertray, along with some sort of handle to put it on a stand. I think when you look at the tank, there seems to be a look of the early T300 Daytona / Trophy / Trident design.

I liked the seat cowl! Personally i hate the chopped arse of the Rocket 3 and Trident.. I know people who have moved the whole shebang up under the rear light and ditching the "arm" that holds it. Problem with that is that it wobbles something awful because it is just fastened to the underseat pan. Now, if you could come up with braces to stabilise the rear fender i think it would be a doddle to re-use the oem rear fender, only moved up to where it bloddy should have been in the first place! :)

Great to hear your ideas. For most days i’d want that back end to be simple with little leds and an under-seat numberplate, but a flatter seat with luggage capacity could be brilliant. I want to remove all non-black color parts (including radiator guard side panels) and make it full black : any suggestions? 2. Even though this one is not recommended for a pillion, I want to add a pillion back rest for my son: do you think its possible? 3. As I like the Street Triple headlights a lot, in future would like to change the round one with bug-eyed ones. Do you think its possible? 4. Will be looking for better shaped windshield, something that is not round 5. Can the whole radiator guard side panel be turned into side reflectors?

I bought the Triumph bag for the rear seat. Kind of a dumb idea. You can't throw your leg over the bike with the luggage on the seat. Moreover, it has a bag in it that is non removable and takes up quite a lot of the room inside. The tank bag looks a little funny in my opinion as well. I suggest and hope that you will develop a hanging side bags solution which would look better and also be more functional. I would buy it for sure. Thank you for a great video.

Excellent video . Lots of useful info, especially the chain and rear shock. I totally agree that keyless is painful and annoying. So the battery went flat from new on my one within five months, I'm always checking my pockets to make sure I have the key. Petrol stations fill me with dread, I could drop the key and ride off ! (so more pocket checking) . With the security issues, you almost have to get the dealer fit alarm, that does need disabling before you can ride off. Well it makes a noise, I assume it disables the ignition, guess I should test this. I've told Triumph I'd rather not have keyless ( will they listen ? )

Do you think you could recycle the Mount points for the secondary riders pegs for some sort of side bag? I’m waiting for mine to arrive in the US and first one on the order list at the local dealer. Pretty much went with all options to make it more of my own bike, but up in the air on what to do with the second riders pegs since I won’t ever ride with a passenger on the Trident 660. A cover for the rear suspension makes a lot of sense, and will keep that in mind going forward as well. Can’t wait to feel the difference from my Z400 which was my starter bike to this. I think this will be my final bike of choice with the increased power, mainly due to keeping my physical limitations in check as I’m fighting stage IV colon cancer. I can only upgrade to a certain point, as the wet weight of the bike needs to remain manageable for my strength.

An extended seat for your "fat lass" pillion OR a decent set of throw-overs and some camping gear on a rear rack, would be MUCH more suitable for an everyday bike! Hey there, I have booked a Triumph Trident a few weeks ago, and interestingly, saw a pillion grab handle as part of the accessories package for it.
