@@MrLEECHINSOON Hello Soon Kueh, i was a staunch supporter of the PAP for the better part of my life, taken by their narrative about our vulnerability and the so called we only have enough talent for one "A team" to govern Singapore. All these changed after I had the opportunity to live overseas and compare our political system with others. More importantly, the lack of comprehensive social security framework for a 1st world country like ours is appalling. You should also not compare our country with 3rd world country because it is an irrelevant comparison at this stage of our development. Do it with 1st world countries. PAP had given us a head start, unfortunately groupthink sets in and for the last 20 years we rely on foreigners both for cheap labour and investments. Lastly, freedom of speech is not the only yardstick to measure a government's performance and I don't necessarily agree with all the views of the opposition or new naratif. Likewise, you could ease up and listen to different contesting views as well.

I like the videos you make. Very informational! Only 1 comment/suggestion. Avoid using the hand gesture of "Quote and unquote" too much each time you mention "Fake News". Distracting, looks like Donald Trump and after awhile, the effect is lost. As you talk use the term "Fake News" quite often in all your episodes, the "Quote & Unquote" hand gesture becomes distracting (I started counting the number of times you did it) and "looking forward" to your next "Quote & Unquote" hand gesture. In my opinion, that was some of the best narration work on Singapore history. It is that podcast that has turned you into my Justin Bieber (supposing that I'm a teenage girl). When you have a parliament with more than 50% men in white, of course they have the freedom to pass whatever laws they like. For pap supports who accuse the opposition of not producing quality candidates (qualifications, education), well, we have moderate representatives like CSM, Pritam Singe and Leon Perera. All have pretty stable marriage background, good job and high fliers in their own right. So the media should stop using radicals like CSJ to portray the opposition as being destructive. LTK, Png Eng Huat and CST have also served their constituents faithfully without any scandals like cheating on their wives. Soon we need people like Paul Tambyah and TCB in parliament. Also, opposition does not just fight for intangible political rights, they also debate on pertinent issues like economic slowdown, transport and immigrants -- basically bread and butter problems that the ruling party seems to have missed out on badly. Without criticism, there would be no drive for improvement since every member is parroting what LHL and the whipmasters at the top said.
