i feel like most games in any genre should be balanced like mk9 was. all these devs nowadays feel like they have to nerf guns or characters but i've always been a proponent of just buffing weaker stuff to be on the level of the broken stuff. i think that creates the most fun for everyone. edit: i should mention that i don't want the broken aspects of a game to be nerfed, unless it's absolutely gamebreaking then yeah nerf

@@destructo3457 badly implemented my ass, its even worse in Tekken 7 since you get hyper armor and extra damage with a 50% unescapable super move. There were characters considered bad and still shitted on top players at tournaments. You seen just about every character in the roster at tournament. Hwoarang and baek were low tier yet bodying everyone. Jin, lee, and violet mid tier bodying everyone. Everyone had a gimmick that made them powerful. Lei was bottom tier but had the second best win loss ratio out of all characters in the game. Everyone said eddy and christie were trash then Jdcr proceeds to lose ft5 against them who was the best player in the world at that time. Armor kind was mid tier yet jdcr won almost every tournament with em. Bruce mid tier but knee won a ton of tournaments with em. Bears were considered horrible yet making it to top 8 regularly. I played ttt2 for 6 years straight since 2012, i knew every meta or bullshit to be known around those times. All characters were usable and strong. You are going off of some guys fan made tierlist my dude. People said angel was bad yet kazuya was great. Angel had more mix ups, better set ups, more damage and the main thing that made kazuya S.....an electric. It is what it is.

0:30 crouch grabs are actually a staple of grapplers in 3D fighting games like King in Tekken, but usually theyre terrible bc they only give a knockdown and in 3D games you only duck on a read anyways so they never hit

REO_MK should have the shirts made with the words "Devastating Damage" printed on them. Also, many have said MK9 is "so broken" and that "all the characters are broken". But I think that is actually a GOOD thing. In other games, such as the two more recent Mortal Kombat entries, there are some characters with broken level OP abilities, while there's others that do not, only highlighting the broken characters even further. Now when all of the characters are broken in some way it means that even the lowest ranked character, like Sheeva the subject of this video, have a way or multiple ways to win. Where as a balanced character has nothing to abuse to pull out a win over a broken character that has overpowered moves or tactics to abuse... So tl;dr, in a way, everyone being broken is more balanced than a few broken characters able to fully dominate the rest of the roster.
