The crazy thing about Ronaldinho is that he didn't just show off. He knew how to use all his crazy arsenal of moves to create offensive options. Teams could send 3 guys to be permanently on him whenever he got the ball, and he still had ways to get past them or create scoring options for himself or his teammates. I remember seeing everyone trying to learn how to control the ball like he did back when he was active. He really was a game changing player. It was like he understood the weight and mechanics of the ball to a whole new level.

Ronaldinho is one of the most beloved superstars ever. He played with such joy that he brought millions of people into its fandom, and even his opponents loved him and respected him. He did things on the field that got even the fans of the opposing team applauding! Like you would see when Michael Jordan would do something incredible. His smile is similar to Magic Johnson's smile. No wonder as they are both entertainers. His technical contribution to the game is immense as you could see techniques he created be utilized by superstars that came after him (including Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic). Messi is a different animal. Nobody's like him.

Ronaldinho explained that his trademark move of lobbing the ball over opponents head and the "elastico" where he flips the ball from one side of his foot to the other, came from him juggling in his home over the chairs and practicing against his dog "Bombom" who was apparently a tireless defender and only matched by very few players in Europe.

Yes Ronaldinho has every trophy, from World Cup to national championships in Spain, France, Italy and Brazil... Plus Champions League, Libertadores de America, Confederations Cup, etc. Several prizes, Golden Ball in 2005, the list goes on and on. Not even Pele and Maradona were able to collect the whole gallery. He stopped a civil war in Haiti because the people wanted to watch him playing. He was applauded by arch-rival fans from Real Madrid during a match against Barcelona. So, yeah. One can claim he is the GOAT.

@@gandalf_thegrey to be considered the goat, you just have to be better than anyone else. it's that simple. it doesn't matter if you last 5 seasons or 15 seasons. ronaldinho was the best by far in the era of probably the best defenders in history. longetivity is important, but only when the skill gap between the contenders for the goat title is small. but with ronaldinho, that matters very little. he was levels above the best of the best. no comparison. the only player who is close to him is messi. here is where longetivity becomes important. the skill gap is tiny. messi is maybe one level under ronaldinho, but the amount of titles and records he has are greater than ronaldinho's. that's why i like to say: messi is the greatest ever, but ronaldinho is the best ever.

Watching the games would help for sure. Part of understanding and reacting is understand what the status quo is. It’s hard to understand what’s good when you’re starting from the very best and that’s it haha It’s also hard with edits like this that are super choppy, I personally like when they aren’t as choppy and you can see what comes from whatever happened

The thing about those edits is that they *always and without" fail use "cinematic" camerashots, that look good for a replay, but make it almost impossible to appreciate or even see, what the players are actually doing. They massively screw with the perception of speed and direction changes. Some of those clips look like he just runs straight while doing funny stuff with his legs instead of constantly moving, changeing direction, slowing down or speeding up etc. Additionally add often high rmp music and op really trying harding to hit the tact and you have a video that only makes fun when you already now the situations it shows. Drones (or moving cameras in general) can be useful in filming sports, but in 9/10 situations is results in the direct opposite of what you want to do: Actually show the sport.

Depends what you define as "one of the GOATs." He's certainly one of the most creative, fun players ever, and he's extremely accomplished -- won multiple La Ligas, won the Champions League, won a World Cup (albeit as Brazil's 3rd or 4th best player in 2002). Between 2004 and 2006, he was clearly the best player on earth, but he just didn't have the sustained brilliance over time that guys like Pele, Maradona, Messi, Beckenbauer, Cruyff, Zidane and even both Ronaldos (Brazilian "Fenomeno" and Cristiano) had. I rate Ronaldinho somewhere between 15th and 25th best all-time. An all-time great for sure, but nowhere near the GOAT conversation.

You get the point. He could only be considered top 10 ever if you have no concept for the game before like... 2000. Ronaldinho is considered the most skilled player in history by many . conquered many important titles in its peak that unfortunately lasted only a short time. He does not have a career like that of Cristiano and Messi. But at its peak it was the best the world saw with the ball at its feet. his charismatic and Brazilian way enchanted the world. Because Brazil is considered the country of football. It inspired players, it won everything a player can win. made history in the selection where he won a World Cup (most important football championship). He's a legend. The Magic Maker a brazillian dance style player with insane skill Assisted mentored Messi and passed on the torch one of just eight players to have won the FIFA World Cup, the UEFA Champions League and the Ballon d'Or only player ever to have won a World Cup, a Copa América, a Confederations Cup, a Champions League, a Copa Libertadores and a Ballon d'Or Ronaldinho is the only player on Earth to hold all the possible major titles: World Cup, Champions League, Copa Libertadores, Confederations Cup, America's Cup, Spanish League, Brazilian League, Italian League, French League... But try playing it for real and I kid you not, you can't even do 10% of what the pros are doing. A lot of skills needed to become a good football player. I'm telling this because I've played a lot of sports since I was little and I can say most sports are easy to master because you only need certain skill sets but with football, there's a lot of skills that you need to have to be able to play a decent game. Passing, shooting, running, defense, spatial awareness, ball control, weak foot mastery, dribbling, physical prowess, heading accuracy and many more. Of all the sports that I've played, football is by far the most difficult to master imo.

To even hold the ball like 5 second is really amazing.Imagine your teammate pass the ball to your feet and theres 1-3 person put pressure on you. The midfield/ striker need balance, vision (know what teammate movement, and strategize next move to score goal) Touch of the ball, pace, body strength, balance, agility, fast decision making, and of course technique execution, accuracy is needed to be a good striker/midfielder. That is why it is really rare in football to see one person beat 1-3 person, and then score goals on their own. Many people see Ronaldinho, Neymar as amazing footballer (being able to get through 1-4 defender) But, Lionel Messi is just out of this world. He is different. can beat all defenders while humiliating them from midfield. He even can get past goalkeeper. All of them without using tricks like ronaldinho. His signature move, using body movement (feint), anticipate enemy while accelerate with pure dribbling touch and agility and be able to score beautiful goal. Not only that, he is not a striker (the role which focus on solely score goal) but his role is attacking midfielder which orchestrated the game. His position is on wide area and in the middle of the pitch, not the front. That is why messi is scary. If defender mark him, his vision and passing accuracy is deadly, while if they leave him, he could pass the defender easily (Really, really rare talent in history of football). He breaks record with the most Ballon d'or, 7 (best player in the world) with cristiano ronaldo in the second place. That is why he is considered to be the GOAT.

He is probably the most skilled player to ever play football. He just didn't commited enough for it. He was doing it for fun, he literally played for fun. He had an insane peak, but didn't last too long.

He played mostly as mid field player, he ia basically the Guy who sets UP the plays so the Striker could score, but ocasionally he would blaze trhough the defence due to his incredible dribbling skills

"He was not fun to watch as Messi", Son, he is Messi's teacher, this footage is from when Messi was starting as a professional in the same team (Barcelona), Messi himself talks about how Ronaldinho is his inspiration. R10 = GOAT

ronaldinho was a midfielder, his role was not to score goals but to create plays that lead to the goal, with a pass or even dribbling markers forcing them to tighten the marking on him and thus creating spaces in the defense, combined with his absurd passing precision he it was rather a GOAT in that position.

Most players underestimate Ronaldinho because he's a flair player and always seem to not be serious. They think he's not strong or fast but he's actually fast, good upper body strength and has a really low center of gravity. One of the very few players from Barcelona to gain respect from Real Madrid fans. You need to check out Ronaldinho for Barcelona vs Real Madrid or better known as El Clasico. It's one of the biggest matches in Europe, if not the world due to how much hate they have for each other. It's even translated into politics. To be able to gain a standing ovation from the fans of a rival who hates you to the core means you've gained their respect and it's something special. This guy had a big influence on Messi when he was breaking into Barcelona's first team. In fact, the all conquering Barcelona team started with Ronaldinho. He had a very big influence on the rising stars of Barcelona like Xavi, Iniesta & Messi. Even Zlatan Ibrahimovic complimented him and Zlatan doesn't compliment other players that much. That's why I always have Ronaldinho as one of my favorite, even above Messi & Cristiano Ronaldo.

im gonna be honest, i feel like tiki taka was one of those 1 trick wonders that are no longer usefull. dont get me wrong, they won spain their latest world cup, which is insane in itself... but now, it became more of a detrimental style than anything. proof of that is how mediocre spain has been since then.

you kinda have to get behind the fact, that these people are professional football players - every defender is aware of the fact that people can dribble, nutmeg, fake, etc. and football evolved in a way that it is out of the ordinary that one player actually "outplays" the defender - it is more like strategic passing and using spaces as a team, simply because you would get stopped if you "solo". Ronaldinho is the kind of player that just CAN outplay. His fluidity, passing, dribbling is just absolutely out of the ordinary. If you ever played against a player of that caliber you realize that it feels like the ball behaves differently in their possession, even if you stop him/ touch the ball/ block, the ball still comes back to his feet and he passes you. its absolutely incredible. :D

Players always use their hands to push and shove each other. They are not really supposed to, but refs let it go, as long as they don't slap, punch, or elbow one another in the face.

About achievements, he's peak was really just like 4 to 5 years but in that time he won the World Cup and UCL plus league titles. The thing about him is that he wasn't this glory driven guy like CR7 or Messi, he was just insanely good so when he pretty much won everything he just coasted his career. He was still beloved by pretty much everyone because he just exudes joy and talent

Really liking your vids pal. As a recomendation maybe you should look for some goalkeeper highlights (golero or portero in spanish) so you can also enjoy that side of the game "he looks like he likes to have fun" yeah, thats ronaldinho, he just have funs I also have an off the bat recomendation if you want to see some violence i recommend a video called "Paolo Montero - Faltas, Patadas y Expulsiones" wich translates to "paolo montero (a player), fouls kicks and expulsions"

Being a good free kick taker is really hard. When it's from a good scoring position, what the defending team usually does is set up a wall in front of the taker on the side the keeper isn't covering. So, as the kick taker you see a wall of bodies on one side, the keeper on the other, and what you need to do is either hit it with perfect force and spin for the ball to go over the wall and curve back down into the furthest corner from the keeper, or find a hole in the wall where the ball can go through and the keeper won't have time to react. That's why, lately, you even see a player lie down behind the wall, so the wall players can jump without the kicker shooting the ball under them. Then you have all the complexity that comes with trick plays, there the kicker passes instead to another player to take the shot from a different position, usually trying to mess up the defense positioning. As a keeper it's also incredibly hard because you have to figure out that the kicker is doing when you can barely see the ball come off. If the ball goes to the wall side corner, you barely have time to get to it, but if you move too early and the kicker tries placing it somewhere else, you might end up in a bad position to stop it.

You say you are more interested in the entire matches. That is the same for me too. I understand what goes into the small highlight bits, but often it's the entire build-up to a goal, or even a great save, awesome defending, how they think about and plan substitutions that makes the entire game interesting. The entire dynamic on the team etc.

In terms of natural ability Ronaldinho and Ronaldo Nazario are the greatest players ever, so yes, he's one of the GOATs for sure. Theres many people who consider him the greatest ever because nobody else in history was able to be effective with a playstyle purely meant to entertain. He's also the only player to win the 4 major football trophies (World Cup, Champions League, Copa Libertadores, Euros/Copa America). He was the best player in the hardest era of football history playing a style of football which hasn't ever been effective. It's unheard of, I'd put him in my top 3 personally.

It can be said that Ronaldinho was Messi's teacher, when Messi started to play in the first team of Barcelona Ronaldinho was already a legend, they shared almost 3 years and a half of matches, Ronaldinho used the "10" and this passed to Messi when Ronaldhino left Barcelona. In our country we have a saying, "la lleva atada al pie", in english "he takes it tied to his foot", it means that the player is so good that the ball seems to be tied to his foot and that no opposing player can take it away. Ronaldinho was so great at Barcelona that in a match against their biggest rival, Real Madrid, he got the Real Madrid fans to applaud them.

People all know how great he was but the fact that he played in the generation were every team at the highest level were full of monsters so him making it look this easy is crazy. For me he has the best control ive seen and it mainly comes from the fact that he played futsal (indoor football) growing up but not everyone who plays futsal is like him lets get that clear🤣. Millions of kids including me would binge watch his videos just to go outside and practice it for hours
