There are two things I really identify with, getting distracted super easily and keeping a short list. I have a lot to do, so I actually have two lists, a long one that I keep in the background, and a short one that I call 'three and out,' like in baseball. I focus on three things, and when I finish them, decide what the next three things are, or sometimes just one or two. After that I decide on the next three things.

Loved the music for the bread clip, lol! Thank you for sharing insights into how you stay organized. I think the more you simplify anything the easier it becomes. These tips are something I can definitely put into practice regularly. I really like finishing a task all the way first before starting the next. I always feel frazzled trying to do multiple things and/or allowing myself to get distracted before finishing a single task. Always enjoy and appreciate your videos. Thank you so much! 😊

The notes app is underestimated. Simple, useful, and in reach. Specially if you have Apple devices like mac, ipad, or iphone, it's just simple to use and link everything around! Nice video Nick!

3:35 Detail is key!- for some. I know of someone who started the minimalist journey and honestly asked, “but really, how many forks should I have? I wish I could see inside their kitchen cabinets.” Minutiae may provide some validation for those over-thinkers who feel weird about the process. Does me. Thank you again!

Amazing. I'm probably late to the party picking this up, but I'm just reading Brooke McAlary's "Destination Simple" and she touches on the simplified to-do list as well. Oh and that was indeed a very aesthetic shot of flour! :))

Decision paralysis can be so hard to overcome, especially when it happens daily. It makes you feel like you're not trying or that all these tasks are truly insurmountable. Realizing that a lot of things, unless they're truly urgent or important, can be completed tomorrow or when the idea to just do it in the moment happens. Great video as always!

Making a short to-do list from a "Getting Things Done" next action collection helps me get started. "Switch Tasking" is what slows me down. To avoid this each list is curated for a time, place, or device. By limiting my list to three next actions from a single collection I stay focused and maintain momentum.

The basic apple note app is great. The only issue I have with it, is that it is unable to read my handwriting. Since I typically prefer to use it with the iPad, it does mean that I am mostly unable to use the search function.

How do you come up with so many different ways to literally say hit the subscribe button, without saying hit the subscribe button? Agree 100000% about putting stuff away when you’ve finished. “Oh I’ll put it here and put it away late…NO! PUT IT AWAY NOW!” I appreciated the aesthetically pleasing shots of flour that much I had to re watch them. Going to try the shorter to do list for sure, sounds like it helps.
