See how Nick (🇩🇪) FINALLY shows Lex (🇺🇸/🇲🇽) some Bruce Dickinson love with what he considers an underappreciated song. She was excited to dive in after having heard instrumentals or listening to songs with Paul Di'Anno.

I played bass in a metal band in the 80’s and it was Steve Harris who inspired me take up bass. I learned to play bass by literally playing this album through on cassette, stopping and rewinding every few seconds until I got all the riffs and runs. My first song I learned on bass was ‘Revelations’ from this album and it is perfect for beginner bass players. Give it a go...its worth it!

Such a treat! Nick, now that you have turned me on to the greatness of this band, I can appreciate these videos much more. When I first heard this (a couple of weeks ago), I don't know how many times I said to myself "oh my God!" while hearing all of these crazy chord progressions, unexpected changes and intense bass lines. From what I have heard so far, this is their best, but I still have a ways to go in exploring their catalog. One thing I love about them is their sound. I have to say their guitar solos are not just all flash, and are not played fast just for the sake of playing fast. They are fitting and classy - written with pure talent instead of just showing off. I'm like a kid in a candy store, can't get enough of this band, after all these years of not really being into their music aside from a few songs. ❤

Very Underrated Song , specially amongst Maiden Album Closers..., Hallowed be Thy Name, Rime of The Ancient Mariner, Alexander the Great get the most recognition( well deserved), but this Masterpiece is right with the others in Absolute Awesomeness Levels!!!, lol..., love this concept.., I would suggest some newer songs, specially Live, like "The Talisman" ( En Vivo) 2011 from The Final Frontier Album and "The Red And The Black" (Live, Book of Souls Live Chapter) from 2016, guys in their 60s playing like mid 20s........, sure Maiden is a different band , from what You guys just heard, but the Greatness/Impossible Energy and Dedication is Eternal with them..., Hard to Find a Band that Brings Their Fans to The Forefront the Way Iron Maiden does..., for more than 40 years.... There's a classic rock song in Australia from 1974 that's almost been forgotten, but it's brilliant. "Evie" performed by Stevie Wright, ex frontman for the Easybeats and written by Vanda and Young. Malcolm Young ACDC and Harry Vanda, Easybeats have guitar solos. It's 11 minutes long in 3 parts and you must listen to the whole song and preferably the original recording.

Like a lot of folks, I bop around looking for some of my favorite songs from different reactors, but I don't often stop and listen to songs I never embraced in the past. Your channel is the only one where you'll put up a track I've never heard and say to myself "let's give it a listen and see if WE like it" At some point in the near future you'll have too many subscribers to read all the comments to every reaction, you simply won't have time. So I'm sending my kudos now, so when that day arrives I'll know I chimed in 'back in the day.' Continued good fortune to you both

This was the 2nd reason why I was interested in reading Frank Herbert's "DUNE" series (my 1st being a friend who told me about the 1st book, so I was intrigued). The story goes that they wanted to call it Dune, but they wanted permission from Herbert. Unfortunately they had to deal with his agent, and apparently said; "Frank Herbert doesn't like rock bands, particularly heavy rock bands, and especially bands like Iron Maiden" and were forced to change the name" - Wikipedia. :/ Years later, at work at a Pizza Parlor in Diamond Bar Calif., I was listening to a LA AOR/FM station that is no longer around; KMET 94.7 (famous for the Dj "Jim Ladd" whose interviewed the whose who of Rock, and became friends with Rush), on a small segment that played in-between commercials called "Off the Record", the Dj Cynthia Fox had contacted Herbert (I guess because she was a fan, and of Maiden) and had him "listen" to the track, and he was pleasantly surprised :)! I wish someone had a recording of it and put it on Yt, but I've looked every year. This is probably my 3rd favorite Maiden album, but its really my introduction to a _entire album_ of Maiden, as I heard various tracks from the previous albums on KMET and KLOS FM (and KMET's "Metal Shop" which was one of the 1st all metal programs on radio). "Where Eagles Dare" has one of the most classic Drum openings, great song, and I was a HUGE fan of the WWII Adventure Movie as a kid. The whole album is perfection, but I have a special love for WED, "Still Life", "Revelations" and "To Tame a Land". The next album ("Powerslave", my 2nd favorite album) would be my 1st Maiden tour, and then 5 more in the future. Again, I wish I could link an Essay/Soundtrack from my Blog that talks about Dune, and a section of ALL Dune "songs" by various bands on the corresponding playlist, and the 2nd part contain songs about the Desert. If you look up the title; "mvunit3, D U N E", you may be able to find the playlist, but I imagine quite a few songs are deleted, so I have to replace them. - Thanks for another fun reaction! UP THE IRONS! Btw - a few bands have covered "To Tame a Land", including Dream Theater. Also I'm a HUGE fan of the David Lynch film (even if he was taking liberties with the story), and also looking forward to the Denis Villeneuve film. Nick, have you seen the Documentary: "Jodorowsky's Dune"? I HIGHLY recommend you and Lex (and your audience) to watch it. The "Art/Designs" for it are incredible, but I think if it were made _back then,_ it would have been a VERY weird film, especially from Director Alejandro Jodorowsky :p.

NicknLex . . . The music and "Lyrics" of "2 Minutes to Midnight" are excellent! I love how the words are put together (and sadly, the powers that be, are preparing for more of the songs "content"). "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" is their 1st Epic track, "Aces High" is another good one (especially for fans off WWII history and Warbirds). On "Somewhere In Time"; "Caught Somewhere in Time", "Sea of Madness", "Powerslave (be sure to find the version with the "sound effects" intro in-tact)". Again, every song on this album is awesome. The next album "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" is my fave album, the title-track, and "Moonchild" are my fave songs, but another solid album. Those 2 albums and "Brave New World" are probably their most _Proggy_ albums. As a "Crowd Favorite", and its great when the crowd sings along, the gorgeous track; "The Journeyman" off of "Dance of Death" (it has always reminded me of the track by Kansas "The Otherside" on the topic of writing music/being a musician, and the timbre of both tracks).

I want to mention first: FINALLY!! You guys are the second music reaction to Iron Maiden's "To Tame a Land" around on KZbin. In my point of view on Piece of Mind album, this album highlights Dave Murray's guitar sound and style, just like I believe Somewhere in time is for Adrian Smith. I am a hardcore fan of Iron Maiden from the first album to Seventh Son, No Prayer for the Dying was alright, Fear of the Dark was depressing for me for what Maiden turned to be compared from 7th Son and back. Years went by, Adrian and Bruce are back, Maiden released Brave New World with Rock in Rio 2001 and that was pleasant. Love Maiden, I don't like Janick Gers. Nice reaction!!

Oh yes, classic maiden it just doesn't get any better than this. You picked an amazing bass player to be inspired by so much to learn from a master. The band I was telling you about is also a fanatic of Iron Maiden especially Miho the bassist of lovebites, she even wrote a song called The Crusade which is a tribute to Iron Maiden's song Ace's High got to check out Lovebites you guys are going to fall in love with them trust me, oh and btw Asami the vocalist is considered the female Bruce Dickinson of today, Steve Harris has met the band and loves them a lot so that alone say's a lot Lovebites "The Crusade" kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWiQeHeifN2KnpY

It's pretty clear they don't care about the lyrics or what the song is about!

It is, isn’t it? And we’ve said that before. On the first listen, music takes priority. Every listen thereafter can be dedicated to lyrics. ;)

Les dejo una recomendación, una joya del rock progresivo Almendra-Color Humano. Para los amantes de la guitarra es un himno.

I really enjoy your reactions, one great on Mother Russia by Renaissance, I have another request by this band off the album Scheherazade and others Stories. The Song Trip to the fair. It shows a whole new level of their talent. I’m sure you will agree

You should have done the Dream Theater cover straight after this as the production of that is awesome in comparison. Also the Maiden United tribute band with Annenke do an AMAZING acoustic cover of it that's really worth checking out :D

We both do this in most videos and I am not distracting her. I always give her cues and she loves the air guitar. She married a guitar player after all and has said herself that she doesn't want me to stop even after people like you have been negative about it. But we know it's not for everyone so if you find it distracting I'm sure you can check out other channels. 🤘

I used to like this album back in the day but now it bores me. This pisses my base player off but I can't help it.
