I'm an absolute novice, but my mum used to make the best sausage rolls! Just put them in the oven a few minutes, let's see what the kids think of dad's sausage rolls! Thanks for the recipe!....😂 Update: all I did was add a bit of pepper, they turned out amazing!!! Thanks again!....😊

Back when I lived in England (Hull) there was a little indoor food market right near my work. There was a Scottish lady and her daughter who had baked goods for sale every day and she would make sausage rolls that had grated peppers mixed in with the meat.. I think habanero or jalapeno.. can't remember which. They were spicy as hell but tasted so freaking good. I haven't had a sausage roll in 8 years since moving abroad.. Thanks for the video! I never knew it was this easy to make them or I'd have been making them non-stop lol

The family always asks me to make these at Christmas time. I incorporate a VERY light sprinkling of white pepper and a spoonful of Paxo stuffing into the sausage meat. Re-roll the sausage meat and do just the same as you did here. There is never enough. Gonna make twice the usual amount this year, I bet we still run out 🤣🤣

I never thought of adding Paxo stuffing to it. I might try this. So, there is no need to add any hot water to it first? I'm going to try Sage and Onion. Thanks for this tip. I also like to use white pepper.

My granddaughter is just 1 year old but me and my daughter can't wait to get her into cooking. Last week she got her fingers dusty helping to make short crust pastry. Tomorrow we're making these. I think she'll be on egg wash duty.

I never knew that they were that easy to make. So if I bought 8 Cumberland sausages from a supermarket at about £2.30p with puff pastry at £1.15 electric oven usage at about £0.55p that makes £4 which is 50p a sausage roll and because I'm now so poor that I can't visit Gregg's anymore, I can make better at home.. Add a smear of Coleman's English mustard to the sausages and you have a REAL treat. Absolutely delicious. Not hot, but a sweet tang.

If you buy sausages (good ones) they have a lot less fat, makes them crispy and not at all greasy

After removing the casing, If you roll the sausage in super fine seasoned breadcrumbs before rolling in the puff pastry, the breadcrumbs will help absorb the fat and allow the pastry to puff more. Be sure and refrigerate about 30 minutes before popping into the hot oven - they will puff better.

This is way better than that other sausage roll tutorial I saw. For some reason the chef was drinking the raw meat drippings and putting cds in the sausage.
