Yeah.....but not every black person (specifically American) talk like her 😕 Many do, and many don't "heavily" use ebonics. I understand her point, but while she was talking, I as a black man (dark as Bernie Mac) had to really "read" some of her word choices. She called the Central Park 5 "babies" and never clarified her word usage. She's clearly over 50 years old so, I had to view her word choices from her perspective. She just left that brain work to those listening to her. I think that's one of the most graven mistakes we can make when communicating... Your "norm" may in fact not be another person's norm.... Therefore, you should/could attempt to clarify your thoughts/word usage for others.

Niecey did a great job...Especially the scene where she went to visit Korey as his mother and Korey asks for 10 or 20 dollars to put on his books(to get the CO to keep inmates from beating and raping him) and she looks at him with the tears in her eyes and says,” I ain’t got nothing to give you boy.” You could see the pain and anguish of her not being able to do that....I couldn’t help but feel that.

JHarrel Jerome who played the character of Kory Wise did the dam thang. I don't care what no one says. He closed the curtains sort of speak. The last time I seen a performance so compelling was when Miss Jane Pittman walked to drink from the white water fountain. And that music was playing.
