I'll be honest, I don't really trust Nikkie's recommendations. I haven't for a while. I remember her 'monthly favorites' videos used to just be a dumping ground for her sponsorships/affiliate links, so the skepticism isn't unwarranted. I recognize that she's trying to change, but still. Then again, recommendations were never why I watched her videos. She's a talented and creative makeup artist that has the resources to create amazing videos. That's pretty rare on this platform.

Anxiety is NOT created by you. What people CALL anxiety, when theyre stressed our or nervous, is created by you. But those people dont know what real anxiety is. Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is very real and if you were able to control it then it wouldnt be a disorder. Having actual GAD sucks balls and it can be not only mentally, but also physically debilitating. My panic attacks that come out of nowhere feel like real heart attacks, and there can most of the time be no trigger that causes it. The only thing he raised awareness to was lies that he was spreading. The only way to help with an actual anxiety disorder is therapy and/or medication.
@margarethe36774 жыл бұрын
R2RO preach 👏🏼👏🏼 anxiety, and depression, are actually extremely misrepresented. Even if people are chronic worriers, if there’s even a “maybe” identifiable reason, ITS NOT AN ANXIETY DISORDER!! I’m SO tired of people self-diagnosing to be special or because they’re misinformed. I’m so tired of therapists over diagnosing and overmedicating because they want money. I’m so. Fucking. Tired. It’s okay to be neurotypical!!! Most people are!! Leave it alone 😭 mood swings aren’t bipolar, lack of self control isn’t BPD, Seasonal Affective Disorder is not depression, chronic worrying is not anxiety. STOP.

Hi, I suffer with anxiety too and although he most certainly worded the first sentence wrong, he does have some valid points about how to combat it. Unfortunately he’s not properly educated and with his platform he most certainly should’ve thought more of it but he clears it up on “impaulsive” which is Logan Paul’s podcast and the reason he tweeted it himself is because he was having a major anxiety spike himself. He was saying that he caused his own anxiety because it was his thoughts that were spurring it on and he didn’t realise at the time that some people get it so bad that there’s no control over it. I’ve been working on my anxiety for about 7-8 years now and I am able to control it somewhat. However, as a fellow sufferer I’m sure you can empathise that he’s a young man who’s worded it absolutely incorrectly in his misjudgement and that obviously everyone’s struggle is different. There were people replying to him saying that he couldn’t have anxiety just because he’s famous and as we’ll all know... mental health doesn’t care about anything it’ll attack anyone. Hope that cleared it up a little, he cried on the podcast because of everything he’s been struggling through and although I’m not a Jake Paul supporter, I am absolutely someone who sees the best in everyone and even he doesn’t deserve all the hate thrown toward him for being uneducated on the subject.

For real, I'm autistic, which is a disorder of fear/anxiety, my meltdowns feel like I'm going to DIE from fear. That's not me, that's genetics. I can avoid known triggers but if a meltdown starts a fucking walk won't do jack. Stress and anxiety aren't the same! Louder for the guys in the back. STRESS AND ANXIETY AREN'T THE SAME!
@simoneingleson42804 жыл бұрын
Alli Rethans I can side with most of this but pushing yourself too hard can in some cases make it worse. I used to literally throw up when I was supposed to meet school friends outside of school because of anxiety but it was a slow push of accomplishing small things that slowly made it easier. It’s a marathon not a race and pushing yourself too hard can sometimes be catastrophic. Everyone’s different but I absolutely agree that the only way you’re going to see a difference is if you take a step and do something simple that may really scare you at first and keep doing it until you feel more comfortable and then up the intensity a little

Daisy I’m not saying I care for Bennett but when you carry a concealed weapon and are being threatened either verbally or physically you have to let that other person know you are carrying. Everyone has interpreted her response how they want which of course they can do. It’s called opinion. But when you do carry, it’s being responsible. And no I do not condone the behavior of the OU students either.
@cgretam15944 жыл бұрын
NekoGrace 79 just because someone says something mean you to you or has a opinion you dont agree with doesn’t mean you can be like you know I carry right that’s basically saying you know I can shoot you but I don’t want to cause I’ll get arrested

NekoGrace 79 i mean i don’t condone the other ppl either, no one deserves to get shit thrown at them ig, but bennett literally says “you know i carry, right?” anytime anyone says anything she disagrees with to her as a scare and shock tactic for intimidation, to throw them off or make them scared and be quiet, when really it’s not like u can legally just SHOOT someone, in these situations she is usually not the one threatened

Telling someone with ACTUAL anxiety disorder ‘chill out’ or ‘go for a walk’ is like telling a depressive to just ‘cheer up’. Anxiety disorder ruined my life. I stopped eating, and still dealing with a fear of food. I didn’t sleep like at all, because I just could not stop panicking. I’ve been dealing with anxiety since I was like 8, and I was 18 when I was put on medication. And even with medication, it will never go away. It’s finding a balance.
@LourStirling4 жыл бұрын
Yes lmao, it is also like telling someone with anorexia "just eat", like there is so much more than that, I'm sure any people with any kind of mental health issue would like to stop it, but it isn't that easy smh
@emilyrose8314 жыл бұрын
craisins 86 not a stupid question at all! I think with anxiety it can be a sooo many different things that can trigger. It’s always there, but every once and a while there is flare ups. Where your brain just turns on you and you can’t even do the most mundane things without thinking you’re going to die or pass out. I think my anxiety stemmed from a fear of fainting as I used to pass out a lot when I was younger. And once that anxiety set in, it was just a downward spiral. Past trauma from a mentally abusive relationship and grooming was added into the mix which led to being diagnosed with severe depression. I only got put on medication for it because i was up all night having panic attacks, and then being sick in the early mornings for nearly a week straight. My mum and dad got so worried they forced me to the doctors. All this time I just thought it was mild anxiety. I guess the whole point of anxiety is that you don’t know what’s causing all this. The slightest thing can trigger and then it grows and grows. Hope that made some sense lol xx
@jessig90094 жыл бұрын
This is such a wholesome, kind thread. I love this. Being able to talk about anxiety, ask open honest questions and receive open honest answers is how things need to be. It seems to be ignorance that Jake Paul has. He either doesn’t know or thinks his version of anxiety is the only type. Conversation is how we all learn and help others. Just wanted to say I appreciate y’all’s back and forth :)

The Jake Paul anxiety thing is so damaging like, yes, some people are able to “control” their anxiety and get better, but there are actual conditions that have no cure and you have to deal with crippling anxiety everyday. When I suffer a panic attack (which maybe mr. Paul hasn’t suffered...) I hyperventilate, I sweat, I can’t breath, I cry, I bawl, I get stiff (legs,arms...) I stutter.... I’ve tried therapy, medications, nothing helps but just letting the panic attack be and pass. His words are damaging, people have no control over anxiety, and making all this young kids believe anxiety is caused by YOU is fucked up.

Whenever I see her mentioned anywhere I zone out so when I first came across one of her TikToks I kept watching because I didn’t recognize her. In the video she was at some protest thing and she kept harassing this young girl (like literally 10 or under) about abortion and just screaming at her that “abortion is bad”. You could clearly tell the little girl was uncomfortable and maybe even scared and her father (I’m assuming it was her father) kept trying to pull away the little girl from the gun girl but she just wouldn’t let it happen. That was so disgusting to me. Like, don’t force your opinions on someone, especially not a child. I get wanting to have an educated discussion with someone who thinks differently than you about a topic like abortion but harassing a literal child is not the way to do that. Just absolutely hate her at this point. I mean, I never agreed with her opinions but this just went too far and in no way is redeemable to me.

Hey Angelika.. I have been watching your videos for a long time but I just wanted to comment on the Olivia Jade situation. I know you say that you feel bad for her, but personally I disagree. I think she was a knowing adult who partook in her parents schemes and she should have spoken up if she was uncomfortable with the idea or didn’t care about the college that she was attending. Yeah it sucks that she has lost her audience, but at the end of the day doing KZbin is not a right, it’s a job like any other job. So if you can be dismissed from other jobs for having a criminal record or illegitimate degree, I think it’s only fair that her social media career also suffers because of the unethical actions she partook in and the lack of remorse shown in this situation. Even now, if she really wanted to come clean, she can plead guilty herself and give a testimony to the police to tell them that what she did was wrong and regrets it... but has she done that? She does not get a sympathy card from me and frankly I don’t give a damn whether or not her losing her audience.

Well I'm glad you cover multiple topics as I use your videos to help me draw and it gives me a lot to think about and listen to while I draw.

Love your content Angelika it's great, I always keep up with your channel. I am a film student and study framing and lighting and all that stuff, your lighting is great but I think your framing would be so much better if you had less headroom. There is too much space between the top of your head and the edge of the frame, it can be distracting for viewers because the eye naturally wants to look in the middle of the video and we are having to look down. If you just had your head more towards the top it would look so much better and be less distracting for viewers. Just trying to help! I've loved watching your channel grow!!

I've had anxiety and depression on and off my whole life. Lots of people have told me to 'just be happy', including people close to me. I feel that its hereditary as my mum, sister and brother have suffered too. It came to a head after I had my second child and I got help for the fifth time. I went through a course of cbt and it helped me so much! It gave me the tools to cope with it and now my anxiety is manageable. Don't get me wrong I still have my bad days, but I'm able to 'nip it in the bud' much better. So what I'm trying to say is that you can get help and although it might not work for everyone, it's absolutely worth a try x

but on a real one i feel like all these famous people look at all the big makeup companies and want to be just as successful. but the market is already so oversaturated with probably millions of different brands and companies. i think that if these days if someone wants to do a makeup line it needs to be something insane and different. if its not, theres no reason for the customer to switch to buying over priced items just because its from their fav celebrity.

I'm ok with having a gun for like hunting for food because I know people who live off deer meat & the deer pop is so huge it's negatively affecting other species. I'm also ok with having a gun for protection, because I grew up in a county that is 20 miles long & only has 4 patrol cars out at a time. However, I go to a big college that's gun-free & I completely support that. NO one needs guns on a school campus.

With panic attacks, the fight or flight can be at least helped with movement like walks and things because you’re essentially tricking yourself into thinking you’re running from yourself. It’s simple and it’s small but it helps me all the time I hope it helps anyone else who goes through it and may see this.

I'm sure we all have our own problems with Kaitlin Bennett and all of the unnecessary things she does, but being happy that people were borderline attacking her doesn't exactly seem... admirable. Is it just me? :/

@@craigriley6263 Voicing an opinion over a group of people, no matter what that opinion is, is not "inciting violence". If you are so weak-minded that mere opinions are proper grounds for physical retaliation, then the problem lies with you.

@@caelsalad6955 ??? Yes it does, it gives ignorant people and excuse to antagonize trans people and gives them a sense that someone has given them a pass to treat trans people badly. Just like how trump has incited violence. Also, calling trans people predators is not just an opinion. If you're too dense to see that not all "opinions" aren't just opinions and have real consequences then idk what to tell you.
