My very brief play with the new Nikkor 14-24s F2.8 and Nikon Z7.
Hey Team, I can let the cat out of the bag!
So stoked that before I went into quarantine I was able to play with the Glorious new Nikkor 14-24S F2.8.
I wanted to share this Video with the story and images from my wet and windy night in Sydney.
So I originally wanted to do that classic shot under the Harbour Bridge from the Rocks but in typical out of towner style I missed the turn off and ended up at Luna Park.
I always wanted to try my hand at getting a shot there so it all worked out super well.
Remind me to bring a rain jacket and camera cover next time, but hey it's a great testament to the legendary Nikon weather sealing on the Z7 and 14-24...
I have to say there’s just something about the S lenses that pop with contrast and blacks, maybe the elements are denser or maybe it's because of the massive Z mount that allows the lenses to be closer to the sensor allowing them to be little thinner cutting down on flare or maybe it's just both taking this series next level.
I have noticed this with all the primes too, to the point I swapped out my 85 1.4 F mount to my 85 1.8 Z mount on a massive poster shoot for Disney a few weeks back to eliminate flare.
Love, love, love my S glass, best in class for sure!
So stoked the Holy Trinity is complete!
Any questions fire away...
Critique welcome too, it's not my forte, i'm more suited to things crashing and blowing up around me remember but I have to say I really enjoyed the solitude, it's very Zen doing these shots!
