Installed JBA headers, Berk B-pipes, JBA cat-back exhaust system on my 2008 Nissan Titan. My truck started getting some exhaust leaks so I put a new system in over a weekend. It proved to be very challenging but with some decent tools I was able to get it done. This video shows the tools used and what to expect if you tackle this yourself.

I enjoyed the video. Very helpful. Question: How is it holding up 6yrs later? Providing you still own it.

About to take this plunge myself on my ‘08. It’s been long overdue & I’ve heard nightmarish stories from others, but I’m about to dive head first. I’ve researched every curve of this & this video has been the most helpful, by far. Thanks.

I recently did this to my '05 Titan w/160k miles. However, I replaced all my four sensors (with Denso) instead of reusing the existing OEM (NGK or Denso). Bosch can be hit/miss. Also, I used 50% MEK (or Acetone) and 50% synthetic ATF. Works better than PB Blast! UpRev, once tuned, is awesome!

I used a 7.5 mm socket on a quarter inch ratchet with swivel/extentjons/wobble and sat back lined it up and used the socket to remove studs instead of jacking engine up. Also PB blaster isn’t any good.

Great video man! I'm in the midst of installing the 6400sjt's (same as yours) on my 2011 Pro-4X....not a fun process whatsoever. Right now I'm waiting for work to be over so I can go home and break those manifold bolts loose. Soaked them in PB all day yesterday, then this morning, then will start the engine to heat them back up...and bloody fingers crossed for good news. Just glad the heat shield part is over with. Thanks for providing such a great video. It's helped me out alot.

Thanks for making such a informative video. I started my exhaust manifold replacement job last night and immediately I noted an issue concerning the manifold heat shields. After watching two KZbin videos on replacing the exhaust manifolds, no one talked about replacing the heat shields that were attached to the OEM manifolds. The after market exhaust manifolds and headers DO NOT have mounting holes for the heat shields. Did you forgo the engine compartment heat shields? It looks like I have to get some mounting holes welded on the replacement exhaust manifolds in order to mount the heat shields.

My replacement headers are the ceramic coated ones so that helps move the heat downstream. I did put the ones above the B-pipes back in place. Good luck on your project.

Hey. I have an 07 titan crew cab 4x4. Im thinking about installing long tube headers and a magnaflow cat back exhaust. Any ideas for catylitic converters? Also in this vid, your headers have each have two O2 sensor inputs and then your Cats also have an O2 sensor input leaving you with six O2 sensors. Did you leave any of those input blank?

What kind of clearance did you have between the motor mount and header on the driver side? I just got done and on my armada I ended up with only about 1/8 inch clearance on the drivers side. I drove it and it seemed fine though . Thanks for the vid
@NoFishNicksAdventures
@NoFishNicksAdventures 6 жыл бұрын
shawn m, yes not much clearance at all. I had to loosen the 4 bolts going into the engine to get the original manifold out and to get the headers in.

@NoFishNicksAdventures

Ludwig Romero, Yes if your truck sees road salt every year like mine does. I would replace all the manifold studs and nuts with new hardware. Also a lift would have made it much easier. Lol

Did you have to loosen both side of engine mounts to remove stock OEM manifold? If so did you use long extension to loosen the engine mounts?
@NoFishNicksAdventures
@NoFishNicksAdventures 6 жыл бұрын
Sleepy Do yes I had to loosen both sides nearly all the way out and the driver side I had to loosen the four bracket bolts that go right into the engine. Yes extensions were needed and wobble sockets.

No-Fish Nick's Adventures is it possible to loosen one side at a time then try to remove one side of manifold? Instead of having both sides loosen at one time?

I just recently had a leak from my third brake light above the rear window. Had to remove and add a new bead of silicone to fix.

No-Fish Nick, thank you taking the time to make such a detailed video! I love your eye magnet tip and side commentaries! I believe your video is one of the few that shows the driver's side of a 4wd model. Appears getting that manifold out is very tough with the transfer case in the way and even the steering linkage. I read one comment on Titan talk that suggested removing the steering linkage (they actually said steering knuckle but I think they meant that link) and all the studs from the head, would allow you to slide out the manifold without messing with the motor mounts and lifting the engine. I know you didn't do it this way, but having spent a significant amount of time in the area, do you think it's a feasible solution? I asked the good folks at Titan talk and they said to just raise the engine a lot and that it's going to be tough. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row before tackling this on 2012 4wd QX56. I have to stick with OEM since I'm in California....very envious of your setup, great job.
