I can understand your fear of deep water. I will suggest you to get a floating device like pool noodle so you can feel confident in the deep end of the pool. It takes time to get used to being in a deep water. I hope you resume your swimming soon!

Thank you for your explanation, especially on the part that it is normal if we cannot do it overly long. May I ask though.. I see people on the ocean can vertically tread water with their head out for quite a long time. Is it because it is easier to float in salt water than in the pool?
@RocketSwimming
@RocketSwimming Ай бұрын
It's great that you found the video helpful! Yes, the salt content in the ocean water helps you float better than in the pool water. But it takes effort and practice to keep treading water and breathe properly due to the waves crashing on your face. Better to use life jacket in any open water.
@Snailryder
@Snailryder 6 ай бұрын
There is gravity, but there is also the opposing bouyancy. When you breathe out bouyancy decreases and gravity pulls you downwards
@RocketSwimming
@RocketSwimming 6 ай бұрын
That's why lean forward so you're not 90 degree in the water. Use your body to create resistance.
@Snailryder
@Snailryder 6 ай бұрын
@@RocketSwimming yh I was commenting on the fact that he said there is no gravity in the water...so the gravity is there but there is an opposing force of bouyancy that keeps you up
